Hope Mikaelson, an immortal tribrid. Someone who has been through more pain and loss than anyone could have ever dreamed of going through.
And when the world ended she lost everyone else that she ever cared about.
But the human race still survived, and she blended in with it, along with the remaining supernaturals alive.
And when the humans then came up with the brilliant idea to host something called "the Hunger Games" as payback for the people trying to overthrow the government, Hope knew what she had to do.
She started joining the games, she knew only one person could make it out of the arena so she always tried to make sure the youngest of them all lived. But when it was clear that everyone in the arena was doing more that just trying to survive, and were actual monsters and worse than anything else, she made sure to win and gave her money to the families of those she killed, before faking her death and moving onto her new life in a different place and so on.
So when she got pregnant in one of those lives she tried her hardest to be there for her daughter, but we don't always get what we want. She was there when it counted, when she could be, but for the most part her daughter lived with her father- because that's the burden of Immortality.
But when her daughter lost her husband she was right back there, so she could take her of her grandkids while her daughter healed.
And then when her youngest grandchild was picked to be in the games she did everything possible to keep her out. Including taking her place.
And in the games, this time it was different. She was falling for her competition for starters- not that she'd ever admit that to anyone (or to herself). And then she met a little girl in the games, she knew she'd protect that girl as much as possible... until she couldn't. Until she was too slow to do anything.
But that death was what opened her eyes, to snap her out of the daze she'd been in. So she started a revolution to end the cruelty, to help those who were left. So she could save innocent people from continuously going through this.
