"When i got to my place on the stage i saw someone in the crowd who i hoped and prayed to never see again. It was............"

Xander's POV:

It was...........

Chris, my moms quite abusive ex-boyfriend. He used to abuse my mom and I a lot. It got so bad to where i could barely walk the next day. One time i got home from school and he started beating me. By the way he was talking I could tell that he was drunk. I started crying and my mom pulled him off of me. He started beating her instead. My mom told me that if he was every beating her and she said "help" 3 times in a row really quickly that means that i should call the police. I ran into the kitchen crying and i found our house phone and called 911.

"911 whats your emergency?"

"My mom and i ha-have been getting beaten for a-awhile now and now hes beating us again and w-we need help." I said stuttering a little bit.

"Okay whats your address sweetie?"

At the time i didn't have my address memorized but my mom always had it written down just in case this kind of situation would occur. I read our address off of the post it note and the police told me that they would be on their way.

I looked back over to where my mom and her boyfriend we're last. I saw my mom lying in pain on the ground as he pulled out a gun. She laid there crying as he aimed the gun right at her head. At that moment i thought that i was going to lose my mom but then the police barged in. They knocked the gun out of his hand and they arrested him.

"ONCE I'M OUT OF JAIL I'M GOING TO FIND YOU AND KILL YOU BOTH!!!" Chris shouted as he was being put into the police car.

My mom was cradling me as we were both crying. Another officer was asking my mother questions and when the officers finally left my mom and I went inside and went straight to bed. Ever since that night I hoped to never see him again but here i am, 8 years later frozen in fear as i see him in the crowd. I noticed that we all were about to start with the Q&A so i went and stood by Hayes.

"We're just going to answer one question each." Cameron said into the microphone.

Once everyone raised their hands Cameron started calling on girls. I couldn't focus on what they we're asking because all I could think about was how I needed to figure out a plan to get away from Chris at the end of the show. Before I even realized it we were done answering questions. Now it was time for the performers to perform. Shawn went first and performed the weight and then i went up and performed Fire and Gold by Bea Miller. I started to strum my guitar and then I began to sing..

Once i was done singing the crowd clapped. I walked over to my guitar stand and set my guitar down. I walked back over to where i was previously was. Jacob came up and performed and once he was done we all just danced and had fun on stage. I was still really anxious about Chris being here but i was trying to have fun. After a little bit longer of goofing off we had to go to the meet and greet.

I was at a table with Hayes and the security guards let people in. A bunch of girls came up to Hayes and I and took pictures with the both of us but then Chris walked up to our table. He didn't say anything but he did hand me a note before leaving the room. I slid it in my pocket not wishing to see what it says until later. Once the meet and greet was over everyone kind of split up. Hayes and I went back to my hotel room to edit our boyfriend tag that we had filmed earlier.

"Hey who was that guy that was at the meet and greet who gave you a note?" Hayes asked sitting on my bed.

I guess i should tell him. I explained to him the entire story about what happened that night 8 years ago. He sat on my bed in shock for a minute before asking..

"What did the note say?"

"i don't know i haven't looked at it yet." i say pulling it out of my pocket.

I unfolded the note and read it out loud..

"I've already killed your Mom and now I'm going to kill you. You both deserve it after getting me arrested. See you soon-Chris."

My heart basically shattered. I started sobbing my eyes out. Hayes was holding me and telling me that he wasn't going to be able to kill me. No matter how much he tried to assure me it doesn't help the fact that i no longer have a mother. I continued to sob until i fell asleep.
