Xander's POV:
I woke up in my bed next to Hayes. I could feel the dried tears on my face from last night. I still can not believe that I lost my mother and found out that Chris was after me. I stood up and went to my dresser. It was currently 4am and our flight to leave California was at 2pm. I think I woke up a little too early. (😂I crack my shit up.) I went in to my bathroom and turned on the hot water. I heard my phone ringing so i walked out to grab it. I took it back into the bathroom and noticed it was an unknown number. I hesitated before i finally decided to answer the call.

"Hello?" I asked.

"Xander, Honey its your mom." the caller said into the phone.

"What? How? Chris gave me a note and that said that you were dead." I said shocked.

"Well he kidnapped me and did probably plan to kill me but when he went to magcon to see you i escaped." My mom said.

"Oh I'm so sorry mom." I said. "I need to see you"

"Its okay. where do you want to meet?" she asked.

"Um meet me at my hotel." I said before giving her the address.

"Okay I'll meet you behind the hotel in about 30 minutes." She said.

"Bye mom, be careful. I love you." I said.

"I love you too sweetie." she said before ending the call.

I quickly hopped in the shower and washed up. Once i was done I wrapped myself up in a towel and rushed over to my dresser. I grabbed my black and grey tie dye all time low shirt and my black ripped skinny jeans. I ran into the bathroom and quickly changed. I left my hair wavy because i was in a hurry to see my mom. I slipped my glasses on instead of wasting time by putting contacts in. As i walked out of my bathroom Hayes was awake.

"Good morning beautiful." He yawned.

"Yeah yeah good morning. My moms not dead!!!"

"What?" He said shocked.

"I'll tell you soon but you have to get changed." I said slipping on my no show socks and my all black converse. I slipped an all black case on my phone before dragging Hayes out of the room. We got to his room and he unlocked it. All the guys that he was rooming with were still asleep. He grabbed clothes from his dresser and tip toed into the bathroom. I waited for about another minute and he came out in black jeans and a gray shirt. He went over to his shoes and slipped on his gray vans. He grabbed his phone and my hand as we walked out the door.

"Okay so whats going on?" He asked.

"My mom isn't dead like Chris said she was. He kidnapped her and he planned to kill her but when he went to magcon to see me she escaped before he got back."

"Well this is exciting" He said as we were walking into the elevator.

I laughed and he pulled me into a hug.

"I'm sorry that all this stuff has started happening."

"Its fine Hayes." I said hugging him back.

Once the door opened he pulled out of the hug and kissed my cheek. We walked out of the elevator and went into the lobby.

"So where are we supposed to meet her?" He asked.

"Behind the hotel." I said pushing open the doors to exit the hotel.

We walked around back and I saw my mom. I ran to her and hugged her.

"Mom I'm so glad you're okay." I said excitedly.

"I'm glad you're okay too sweetie." She said. "Nice to see you again Hayes."

Hayes smiled his adorable smile and said "Hi Ms. Grafton its nice to see you again too."
