Fate

I wake up and check the time on my phone. 3am.
I woke up to a horrible nightmare. I can't tell what it was about but I know I've been having it since I was little. I thought it went away for a little while but it recently came back.

"Remington!"

I turn to see my older brother Sebastian walk in drunk. My heart raced. I was scared but not for myself but for someone else. Someone who wasn't even here.
My heart broke when I saw my brother drop to the ground.

"Sebastian...get up."

"I'm a little drunk.."

"I can see that...something happened with Larissa again..?"

He shook his head and cried. "It's mom's anniversary..."

"Right...you didn't sleep..?"

"I went to her grave at midnight. I wanted to be the first person to say something.."

My heart sank as I opened my arms for Sebastian to give me a hug. He took the offer and cried into my arms. It's been a year since our mother passed away and it's been hard on him the most. Sure, me and Emerson are hurting but Sebastian took the hardest hit.

"Rem...Sebastian..?"

I look up and see Emerson standing in the doorway. I open my other arm and let Emerson come into the hug. He starts crying too and I can't help but start crying as well.

"I miss her so much." Emerson cries as he squeezes me tightly. "Fuck cancer...she didn't deserve that."

I do my best to hold back more tears but they kept falling, more and more. We stayed like this until Sebastian got up and went to his room. Emerson and I just laid in my bed and fell asleep.

I woke the next morning to Emerson shaking me.

"Your alarm is going off. You have to go to work.."

"Right...maybe I should take the day off.."

"Just ask for a half day. We will have dinner and go to mom's grave together when you get back...Larissa and Sebastian are going to talk things over so I'm not going to be home."

"Oh...okay yeah. Probably best. We have some new guy today anyway."

Emerson smiled and walked out of the room. "Don't forget to shower!"

"Thanks em. Got it." I muttered to myself and got up. I went to the bathroom and showered before going back to my room and getting dressed. I walked downstairs to see Larissa and Sebastian making out in the kitchen.

"Great, an amazing thing to see that you guys made up. I have to make coffee before I go so if you guys would excuse me."

"Coffee is on the table. I also made you toast with Nutella and fruits." Sebastian spoke before kissing Larissa again. I smiled and then gagged before walking back to the table.

I grabbed the food and coffee and started eating happily. I put the coffee in a to go cup before putting the plate in the sink and leaving.

I hope everything goes well with Sebastian and Larissa, they were made for each other. It suck's to see Sebastian losing himself but it would suck even worse to see him lose Larissa too.

I got in my car and drove off to my work place. When I got to the building, I sat in the car for a second before getting out to go inside. I had my coffee in one hand and my bag in the other. I walked into the building and sighed when I saw people swarming over someone.

I walked over and looked to see some guy standing there awkwardly. People were asking him things but when he turned to face me, my heart skipped a beat. I backed up and walked away quickly. I ran to my office and instantly sat down. I didn't know what was happening but my heart was racing.
