Chapter 7: 'Unexpected'

~Skyler's P.O.V.~

I woke up with something cold in my mouth. I quickly opened my eyes to see Liam's toe in my mouth.

I screamed as I bolted right up and ran around while screaming like there's no tomorrow. Everyone else sat right up, well except for Zayn who was still sleeping like a baby, and look around like there's a fire.

I continued screaming and running around while everyone gave me confused looks. "You okay Skyler?" Liam asked groggily.

I glared at him, "Do you think I'll be okay when I have YOUR FUCKING TOE IN MY MOUTH!" They looked at each other then started laughing their heads off. I rolled my eyes as I quickly ran upstairs to my room and into my bathroom.

After hours and million times of brushing my teeth, I finally got out of my room.

I walked to the living room and they weren't there. Yeah we slept in the living room, since the boys were already asleep and the girls and I were too lazy to get up so, we decided to just sleep there. Oh and Uncle Si also told the boys that they can stay at his house for awhile.

I heard Niall's laugh by the dining room, I walked directly to the dining room too see everyone else eating their breakfast. I sat on the vacant seat between Jessica and Louis as Alissa, Uncle Si's maid, served my breakfast.

Liam glance at me, giving me an apologetic look while mouthing a 'Sorry'. I smiled at him, signalling that we were okay. He smiled back and started eating again, I just can't stay mad at him though.

I began eating my breakfast as Jessica starts a conversation, "So.. What are the plans today??"

"Well, I'm going to the bookstore today!" Melissa said.

"Can I come, Mel?" I asked. I saw this interesting book in the internet, it said it will be on bookstores today so I decided to check it out.

"Yeah sure!" She said. I smiled at her. "What about the others?" Asked Jessica.

"Hey Sky, do you think we can go to Uncle Si's beach house today?" Shannon asked. "Yeah sure! Maybe we can also stay there!" I said all giddy. I haven't been there in a while though, the last time I remebered that Uncle Si brought us there is when we were still kids! The others all nodded in agreement.

"Do you think it'll be fine with Uncle Si?" Melissa asked. "Well Uncle Si said we can do everything we want!" I said.

"WITHOUT messing things around." Michelle butted in while glaring at me and Jessica. "What?!" We both argue in unison. The others just laugh as me and Jessica huffed.

"Alright, settle down. Maybe we can all go out for lunch then back here so we can settle our things then on to the beach house. What do you think?" Liam sugguested.

"Cool! Where to then?" Shannon asked. "NANDO'S!" Niall shouted while pounding his fist on the table.

"NIALL JAMES HORAN! IF YOU EVER POUND YOUR FIST ON THE TABLE AGAIN AND I SAW A TINSY WINSY CRACKED ON IT, I SWEAR TO THE HEAVENS THAT THERE WILL BE NO NANDO'S FOR THE REST OF YOUR LIFE!" I retorded. Everyone in the dining room fell silent. I mean, seriously! Uncle Si's gonna kill me if he saw a cracked at his things in his house! The last time was horrible! Niall nodded slowly, I sighed in relief as everyone stared at me.

"What's wrong Sky?" Zayn asked. "Well.." Shannon started. "When we were still little, we spend our summer at Uncle Si's. We always love to play around his house that time. And on that day, we were all playing tag, and we accidently broke Uncle Si's flower vase, and we got hurt. First, he scolded us like there's no tomorrow, then he grounded us for a week and that we can't play any physical games. And here's fact, never EVER make Uncle Si mad. He's so scary when his mad!"

The boys all felt silent, but seconds later, they all nodded. "Okay enough stories. Finish your food so that we can now all go." Michelle ordered. We all nodded and ate our food.

"Hey Sky, what are you gonna get?" Melissa asked.

"Oh! I saw this book named 'The Day After Tomorrow' on the internet last time. And it said it'll be on bookstores today, so I decided to check it out." I smiled at her. "What about you?" I asked her.

"Well Mich told me this book named 'Fearless' and I found it interesting! And she told me there's a second book about it, and maybe I should check it also." She said all happily. I nodded as we walk towards the bookstore.

We were already at the mall and the others decided to shop first while me and Melissa will go to the bookstore. We'll be meeting at Nando's by 11 and I can't wait to go there again! Its been so long since we've ate there! And I'm so excited!

Once we've reached the bookstore, Mel and I decided to look for her book first before mine. The bookstore was huge! Its like a library in here! Well, it is though. "Hey Mel?"

"Yeah?" She said while looking at me.

"Can I ask you something?" I said.

"But you already did." She giggled, I glared at her. "Ha Ha, very funny Mel. But seriously." I crossed my arms.

"Okay okay.. Sure!" She said as she smiled at me innocently. I rolled my eyes, "Tell me straight, do you like Zayn?" I said teasingly. Her eyes widened as she blushed, I smirked.

"N-No! Absolutely n-not!" She stuttered while looking around. I raised my left eyebrow at her, still smirking. "Oh really? Why are you blushing then?" I teased her even more.

"Who said I was blushing? I'm not blushing." She looked away. "Oh cut the act Melissa! I know you like Zayn! Its in your eyes! The way you look at him tells that you really fell for him! Admit it Mel!" I exclaimed.

She looked at me and wore a frown, "Yeah.. I like him.. But he wouldn't like me back." She looked down. "Melissa Rose Collins! Don't you dare say that! You are gorgeous and sweet! And you are absolutely amazing! Any boy would do anything to date you! And I can tell, Zayn likes you too." I smiled at her as I pulled her into a hug.

"Thank you Sky!" She hugged me back. "I just really hope he likes me too.." She said softly.

I let go of her, "He sure will Mel. He sure will." I smiled at her genuinely, she smiled back. "Now let's go find our books." I said. She nodded as we both look for our books.

"Hey! Here it is!" I picked the two books. "Is this what you're looking for Mel?"

"Yeah! That's it!" She smiled hugely as I gave her the books. "Now let's haunt yours!" She exclaimed happily. I laughed at her mood and nodded.

After a few more minutes, we've finally found the book that I've been looking for, and I've found another book which is so interesting! The title is 'White Lies'! Its about a girl who always tell nothing but lies! But in the end, she have to tell the truth.

Me and Melissa were walking towards the cashier as a boy ran into me and Melissa and we all fell on the ground. "Ouch!" We all groaned. We both look at the boy who was rubbing his forehead like me and Melissa. We both gasped in shocked.

I couldn't believe it! It was him! From all the years that we haven't seen each other.. Here he was.. Our best friend.

"Oh my god.." Melissa and I said. The boy look at us and wore a shocked expression.
