Ch. 9

                          Emery POV

I was outside of school holding my books to my chest as I chatted with Bonnie.

"It was such a rush. Logan. The news guy. A vampire and watching Damon beat the snot out of him it was awesome." I say in excitement

"I don't know how you are so excited and calm about all of this." She said

" Bonnie, Emery." Stefan says 

" Stefan..." Bonnie says 

"Hey." I say 

" Hey." He says 

" Hi." Bonnie says 

" I haven't seen you lately. How are you doing with everything?" He asks

"I'm fine. It's all fine." She says 

" Good. Yeah." Stefan says 

" Are you back in school?" She asks

" No. Actually I came here to find you. I was hoping you could help me with something. A spell." He says 

" Stefan, look, I know Elena and Emery are okay with all of this, and I appreciate what you did to help me. But I'm not really ready to dive into it with you just yet." Bonnie says 

"I understand that. But I need your help. It's Elena. She's with Damon. I have Elena's necklace. I was just hoping you could use this to make some sort of a connection. I just need to know that she's okay." Stefan says 

"She's with Damon?" I asked 

He nodded

"How do you know I can do this?" She asks

" Because I've known a few witches over the years. I've seen what they can do." He says

" I'm still new at it." She says 

"Come on you can do it." I say 

She gives me a look

" It's okay. Give it a shot." He says 

" Okay. All right." Bonnie says 

Bonnie takes the necklace and closes her eyes trying to make something happen.

" There's nothing. Nothing's happening. Usually there's an image or...tell me if anyone's looking." She says 

" Okay." He says sounding disappointed 

Bonnie picks up a leaf and tries to make it float. It doesn't work.

" What is it?" He asked 

"Something's wrong." She says 

" With Elena?" He asked

" With me. There's something wrong with me.  I have to go. I'm sorry, Stefan. I can't help you." She says as she grabs her things

 Bonnie walks away quickly, while me and Stefan watches her.

"Look I know you are worried about my sister, But she's a big girl. She can take care of herself against Damon, I mean he's not that much of an animal is he?" I say 

"You have no idea." He says 

I roll my eyes, 

"I better check if she's ok." I say patting Stefan on the shoulder and leaving

We are in Bonnie's Grams house looking through books.

Bonnie is looking through old spellbooks, when her Grams enters.

"Thank God you're back." Bonnie says 

" And hello to you, too. What's the matter?" Grams says 

"My powers are gone, Grams. I can't do anything, even when I concentrate. And there's nothing in in any of these books that can tell me how to get them back." Bonnie says 

" Hang on, now. Just calm down. Tell me what happened." Grams says 

" I can't." Bonnie says 

"We keeping secrets now?" Grams says 

"I have to. I'm sorry. I promised. Please, help me." Bonnie says 

"It was a vampire." I say 

"Emery!" Bonnie says 

"What you promised I didn't." I say 

Grams gives us a look

" Well, first of all, there's nothing in any of these that's gonna help you. If you're blocked, it's in here." Grams says 

she points to Bonnie's head 

"You gotta clear it out, then you're back in business." Grams says 

" Clear what out?" Bonnie asked

" Whatever's got you so scared." Grams says 

Me and Bonnie are at the old Fell's Church, where Emily destroyed the crystal and Damon attacked Bonnie.

"This isn't creepy at all." I say

"Your not helping." Bonnie says 

We both hear a noise

"Hello? Anybody here?! Aah!" Bonnie says 

I feel myself fall and everything goes black

I feel myself being shaken but I can't open my eyes, 

"Emery wake up." I hear 

My eyelids slowly flutter open, I am no longer at the old fell's church, I'm on a couch in Stefan's and Damon's house, 

I sit up quickly 

"Hey she lives." I hear Damon 

My head snaps in his direction, 

"Quite the bump there." He says sitting next to me dabbing it with a wet cloth, 

"What happened?" I asked 

"Long story short, I went to Georgia with Elena, trying to find a way to open a tomb full of vampires, now I need to find a witches book, meanwhile you fell in a hole and hit your head, Make sense." He says 

"Yeah," I say 

"So what do you say about being my wing girl on finding a witches book?' He says still wiping away the blood on my forehead, 

"I say count me in." I say with a smirk
