♥︎Fainting Spells- Crystal Castles

Viera lay staring at the white ceiling. Hospital-clean sheets covered her body, enveloping in coldness and soothing pressure.

Agency Clinic.

As it turned out, the body was much worse damaged than initially expected, literally all broken, every bone, damaged in some way. Internal bleeding and spinal cord injury, including neck injury. Doctor Yosano's skills helped, but she still required medical attention. Even when put back on her feet, weakened body was on the verge of exhaustion from the process; if that didn't improve, she would have to be resuscitated every few moments to miraculously start living again.

Blank mask was on her face all the time, but she worried whether someone had seen her face when she fell asleep for a week. Viera was in a coma for a whole week as later find out. The events had happened seven days ago, still they passed before eyes vaguely - that child's expression deep in mind. Horror. A little tragedy.

She lay there sleeping almost whole time..one hour, two..half of the day. It wasn't a surprise.

Another hour of semi-consciousness passed as she thought all over again. That woman. Her meaning of life.
A little tragedy in her arms, warmly nestled in beloved's body. A second child, safe inside its mother, waiting to get to know her better. Life and death.
Are they the same thing or maybe the opposite? They finish one thing and start another. Both tragic. Both equally terrible. The beginning and the end - the beginning of the end, the endless ocean of choices. The beginning, or the end of nothingness, or the beginning when the end comes someday. Death will look you in the eye without mercy or excuse. It will take away a child, an old man, a mother, a father, a son..anyone. Just like fate. Does this exist? Or maybe it follows the written? Or are we writing our own history, but whose ink? Our pain?

Pain is just an illusion. It's a fear. As the brain secretes more signals to protect itself. Fire burns your skin until you scream; the pain flees.

Something didn't feel right to her after all, how did she survive? Half of the building fell right on top of, breaking out. She heard whispers, like something from behind. What was that? Does not know. Closed eyes shut again, again.

Again.

Whispers, but not in her head like always. Quiet voices when there is silence all around telling to go crazy, like whispers of indistinct smacking for more bitterness. Give up.

Suddenly the door opened and someone entered the room, leaving the pattern of recognizable steps. He sat down next to the bed, looking towards the IV slowly going down. He took out a book, obviously waiting for patient to wake up as leaned back more comfortably, swinging one leg over the other lazily.
