Chapter Three

After texting Fantasia, I felt uneasy I didn't mean to come off rude but I'm just so sick of people running around talking about me. I thought about how I could apologize so that she knew my anger wasn't towards her.

I was pulled out of my thoughts from yelling downstairs. I knew it was my mom and dad arguing once again. I went to see if Destiny was alright, she may be young but with the shit she goes through at home I wouldn't put it past her once she grows up, she gets the hell out of here.

I could hear the yelling get closer as I made my way to Destiny's room. When I opened the door my mom and dad were both in there arguing. My dad smacked my mom in the face, which pissed me off because why would you do that shit Infront of your FOUR-YEAR-OLD DAUGHTER. "WTH IS WRONG WITH YOU? WHY WOULD YALL DO THAT SHIT IN HERE?"

"WHO THE FUCK DO YOU THINK YOUR TALKING TOO LIKE THAT." I ignored him and went to Destiny's bed and picked her up she was crying and screaming. I walked to Nia's room and told her to watch her, while I go do something. I went back to her room to find my mom on the floor bleeding, I guess when I left, he beat her some more.

He was just sitting in the rocking chair; I went to my mom and helped her up. I took her to the bathroom and cleaned her up so that Destiny didn't have to see her mom with blood all over her face.

"We have to get out of here before things get worse. I'm sorry Mom but I can't keep doing this shit. This is my last year of high school; I want to be able to go to college. I can't do that knowing my sisters are here living in the same house as him. I'M THE ONE THAT PROTECTS THEM NOT YOU." "I'm sorry."

"Thats all you have to say is that you're sorry. Mom, I love you, but my respect is gone. If I have to move out and take them then that's what, I'll do. YOU KEEP COMING BACK TO HIM, FOR WHAT SO HE CAN BEAT YOU SO BACK THAT YOU END UP IN THE HOSPITAL?" "Calm down baby. I know I have to do better for you and your sisters. I'll do better." "You better, they still look up to you."

I left the bathroom and went to Nia's room; I was going to take them to get some food. I just know my mom wasn't going to cook today. I felt bad for yelling at my mom, but she needs to get her shit together I'm not always going to be here to protect them and the day he touches my sisters is the day that motherfucking dies blood or not. I could see that Nia was also mad, I didn't want to talk about it Infront of destiny, so I was going to have a conversation with her when we got back home.

"What do y'all want to eat?" "ICE CREAM" "You can get ice cream after you eat real food." "Nia, what do you want to eat?" "I don't care, I'm not hungry right now." "Can you just pick please? I don't want to be driving all night." "Burger king." "Okay"

After i got them burger king and ice cream for destiny I took them home. When I pulled up the house was dark, all the lights were off, and I didn't know where my dad was. I really did not care neither, go get ready for bed y'all have school in the morning. I went upstairs to my mom's room just to find her in bed crying. I closed the door back and went to help destiny for bed. When she finally went to sleep it was about 10:40. I went to Nia room to see if she was still up and of course she was.

"Hey, I want to talk to you okay." She didn't respond she just started looking at me. "I want to leave here and take y'all with me. I turn 18 in a couple of months so that way they can't take y'all away from me." "Where would we go? I'm not leaving my friend and school. I like it here."

"I know there are some apartments they just built about eight blocks away. We'll still be zoned for the school, and we will be safe." "What if he finds us, then what do we do?" "He's not I promise, and if he does ill handle it." I kissed her on her forehead and went to my room. I rolled up a blunt and smoked it, my family is all kinds of fucked up but in this moment, I wasn't thinking of them. I was thinking of Fantasia.

The next day

I was nervous to see fantasia, I didn't know how it would be after the whole me being rude thing. When she walked in, I could do nothing but stare, she had on this cropped green sweater but black leather pants. When she sat next to me i could smell the perfume that she was wearing, and it was breath taking. I was hesitant at first to talk to her, but then I finally said something.

"I'm sorry about yesterday. I didn't mean to come off as rude or anything, I'm just tired of people running their mouths about a situation that has nothing to do with them. I realized that you were just trying to clear the air about it and i took it the wrong way. I'm just not very good at communicating." "It's okay, i understand. Know that that is cleared up how about we start over and get a head start of out so-called buddy project." I smiled knowing that she forgave me. When the period was over i was a little upset because it meant i wouldn't see Fantasia for the rest of the day.

I'm loving how this is turning out. I don't think I'm going to make them move to fast. DRAMA NEXT CHAPTER
