GRAVITYMILANI KAIMERE JOHNSON
April 12th, 2023
Atlanta, GaMILANI rubbed her feet as she laid in bed after a long and exhausting day of school and practices. Milani was a cheerleader at Morehouse/Spelman. Because Spelman was an all girls school the cheerleaders cheered at Morehouse games. She would be attending Spelman in the upcoming school year, she was surprised to find that they had already began practices.
She was also on the track team, their season was coming to an end and she was so glad. She had a job at a daycare called Bundles Of Joy where she had been working at for the last 2 years.
She looked up as her room door opened, she caught eye of her older brother and looked back at her MacBook air that played The Upshaws on Netflix. She loved her some Mike Epps, he was truly the only reason she began watching the show.
"What you on?" He questioned laying across the foot of her bed, he slipped out his slides and they fell on the ground with a noise.
"My body hurts," she groaned putting her feet on his back, "massage please?" she pouted poking out her bottom lip.
"Kaimere, get yo funky ass feet offa me ghee," he mugged her, she wasted no time to kick him in his back.
"Then get out, why are you even in here?" She mugged him in return as she pulled her feet back toward herself. Her mug remained as she reached over to her white nightstand that she had purchased from Amazon and grabbed her massage gun off its charger. She clicked it on and wasted no time to massage her own feet.
"I'm bored, my girl and me ain't on speaking terms," he shrugged throwing his phone down next to him.
"What happened?" She asked him pausing her show as she put her undivided attention onto her brother.
Their parents only had 3 kids, her mom was not the one for pain. She initially wanted to stop having kids after having her older brother Kavani, but she ended up having 2 more after him, that being Milani and her younger sister Zariya.
Milani and Kavani were simply built in besties, although Vani had 2 years on her in age they were fairly close. They always had been. Vani was 20 years old, he had just moved back home for his Sophomore year of College. He stayed on his campus his freshman year last year but then found it'd be cheaper and better to stay at home.
Vani was a basketball player at Morehouse University, he was a D1 player and was currently on a full ride scholarship due to his basketball skills.
"Aw shit lemme tell you, ha goof ass talm' bout why you still talking ta yo ex, why y'all follow each other on social media. Like fuck is you on about, so i ask ha what she talm' bout, this nigga showed me a picture of Londyn. I called her a goofy cause what the fuck. She be so convinced that me and ha got sum going on and ion know how many times i had ta tell shorty that we ain't never been shit and ain't gone neva be shit. Her ass insecure and i'm finna drop her, fuck I look like dealing with Londyn that's like my lil sister, not only that but she 18 years old. Why would I mess with my somebody who ain't of age and my lil sister best friend on top of allat," he vented to her as he continuously ran his finger through his shoulder length dreads.
"Ion een know fa real it's like my feelings been slowly leaving for a while now, i think this is finally putting shit in perspective fa me, cause it's like everything I do is overanalyzed by her. And what make me mad is like ian neva gave ha a reason to feel like that or nun so the shit be blowing me," he mugged shaking his head, his accent flowing through his words the more he talked.
