It was a dream, the first dream SCP-8071 had. Crickets could be heard, the TV played static, SCP-8071 felt much smaller in this dream and she was holding a small stuffed monkey. SCP-8071 knew this had to be a memory of some sort, because she couldn't control her actions. SCP-8071 looked behind her, she saw a tall man with a scientist coat, his face was blocked off and smeared in her dream. The sight was strange, this was definitely an odd dream. The man adjusted his tie before speaking.
"Evelyn? What are you doing out of your crib?"
The man's tone was a bit playful, like he was talking to a puppy or a baby. SCP-8071 couldn't speak in this dream, just watch. SCP-8071 was then picked up by the man, she looked down and saw that she was really tiny, this might be a dream from SCP-8071's past. She looked like a small baby, that's why she was being talked to like one. Evelyn... That must be her real name. The man ruffled the small amount of hair SCP-8071 had on he head before walking to a small room, it was a nice room perfect for a baby.

There was a crib, soft furniture, toys, nightlights and most importantly a music box. The music box played the song 'Silent Night'. The music box was loud, yet soft and easy on the ears. SCP-8071 attempted to speak, but babbled as she was placed in the crib. She felt so soft, so comfortable and being here with this man made her happy, but she doesn't know who he is yet... SCP-8071 or "Evelyn" was falling asleep, she yawned before falling asleep in the small crib. She heard the man leave the room and the door closed, the music box continued to play the song as the noise soon became non-existent when SCP-8071 fell asleep...

Then, SCP-8071 woke up, she was laying on the cold and clean floor of her containment cell. She felt cold, it was a contrast to her dream for sure. She felt warm and happy in her dream, she felt safe. But now, there was a feeling of solitude and captivity.
"Hello, SCP-8071. Can you hear me?"

SCP-8071 immediately turned to the window, there was a man's voice, he sounded a lot different than the man in SCP-8071's dream. She decided to respond, but remained in the corner.
"Uhm, yes... I can hear you..."
SCP-8071 said, her voice soft and quiet, making her sound even more fearful and nervous.

"Awesome sauce! You can call me Dr. Bright, kid. I will be interviewing you today, I heard you had some special abilities that interested the higher ups. Specifically the time you were cross-tested with SCP-106."
Dr. Bright said, sounding cheerful and what you would call "Quirky"

This confused SCP-8071 and in a way frustrated her, she thought all of the researchers were the same. Stoic, cold and serious. But Dr. Bright, he seemed like an unpredictable fellow, and that wouldn't help SCP-8071 when she tried to escape the facility. No, that would be an issue. If Dr. Bright was different from the other researchers, how would SCP-8071 know his next move? All she could hope is that Dr. Bright isn't as unpredictable as she thought. Two armed guards entered the room, SCP-8071 was handcuffed then led out of the room. She saw Dr. Bright walking in front of her, he was a man with a simple lab coat, dark hair that seemed to be a dirty orange and a strange yet pretty medallion around his neck.

"Hey there kiddo, ready for the fantastic interview? We will be talking to each other in a dark and cold room for about an hour! Yay! Doesn't that sound fun?"
Dr. Bright said, SCP-8071 couldn't tell if he was actually excited or just being sarcastic, from what SCP-8071 had seen from the scientists here the second option was most likely.

Without letting SCP-8071 respond, Dr. Bright and the guards walked towards the room, there was a bit of tension in the air, mainly between the guards and SCP-8071. She could tell, these guards hated their jobs. Not like anyone would enjoy this job, after all, there was the constant worry of being killed by accident or by an SCP. However, SCP-8071 couldn't relate. Once she would die, she would just come back. It was a strange and unexplainable process, but her black blood seemed to help her. Another reason why SCP-8071 couldn't relate to the guard's negativity is because she didn't work here, but she must have been treated worse than the guards because she's a strange looking SCP. All four of the individuals arrived at the interview room, it was small and only a bit dark like Dr. Bright had stated before. However, it wasn't as dark and cold as SCP-8071's containment chamber. SCP-8071 remained handcuffed, she sat on a chair across from Dr. bright, he had a friendly smile on his face.

"I don't want you feeling nervous kid, so what I'm gonna do is ask you how you are feeling today!"
Dr. Bright said, acting friendly, too friendly. It was strange, every doctor here is cold and would care less about the feelings of the SCP's. Well, except for Dr. Reen. He cared, he really cared. Weather Dr. Bright genuinely cared or not would be up to SCP-8071 to decide...

"I'm... Alright. A little sleepy..."
SCP-8071 said, she kept staring down, making no eye contact with Dr. Bright. Not because she didn't like him, but because she didn't want him to see her eyes. Nor did she want to see the expression on his face when he did look at her eyes, it would probably be a look of absolute terror or disgust. SCP-8071 definitely viewed herself that way, so don't others as well?
"Okay, cool... So, the other doctors wanted to know. How did SCP-106 not kill you?"

"He did..." A simple slip of the tongue by SCP-8071, that definitely caught Dr. Bright off guard.

"What?" Dr. Bright asked, sounding a bit less cheery and more serious.

"Hm? Nevermind. Uhm... Well, he did try to kill me but he didn't really corrode me as much as he wanted to..." SCP-8071 didn't really understand why she didn't stay dead, she also didn't remember that day as much as she wanted to.

"And, what do you mean by that? Did something save you?" Dr. Bright asked, being more curious. He was immortal, hearing about SCP-8071 being a tad bit similar intrigued him.

"Uhm... I think it was my blood..." SCP-8071 said, she sounded like she had gotten mad or just stupid...

"You're blood?" Dr. bright asked, writing on a clipboard.

"Y-Yeah... I-I remember my skin melting away, but my blood healed me. It was pushing away SCP-106's black goo and it instead began to expand around the wound where my flesh was corroding..." SCP-8071 said, she thinks that she probably shouldn't have said that. For some reason, she felt like she might need to think before she speaks.

"How... Interesting... And new, very new... Uhm, well... Is there anything else that you have to say about your blood? Or, anything else perhaps..."
Dr. Bright asked.

This felt completely awkward, SCP-8071 felt frustrated with everyone including her self deep down inside. "Well... I don't know much about my blood, but it is black and it tries to heal my wounds. I don't know if it could heal humans, though I have never tried it..."

Dr. Bright nodded, he wrote on the clipboard. "Okay... Uhm, anything else you would like to say or ask?"

"Yeah, where is Dr. Reen." SCP-8071 asked, looking a bit happy just at the thought of Dr. Reen.

"You mean Daniel? Daniel Reen? He's having breakfast in his office, why did you ask?" Dr. Bright responded.

"I really want to see him... He, uhm... He's nice..."

SCP-8071 said, sounding a bit careful with her words. SCP-8071 simply liked Dr. Reen, he was nice and he didn't treat SCP-8071 as some weird looking freak show. Dr. Bright didn't see SCP-8071 as a monster either, so he was the second person she kind of, sort of liked...
"I understand... I could tell him that you asked for him if I see him. But for now, I think you should get some rest. Even though you slept already, taking in a lot of energy for the rest of the day helps. And who doesn't like naps, right?"
Dr. Bright said, continuing to yap.

SCP-8071 nodded and was then taken out of the room by the two armed guards, Dr. Bright said bye to her as she left and SCP-8071 said a good bye back. once back in her cell, the cuffs were taken off. SCP-8071 waited for Dr. Reen, it has been ten minutes exactly of waiting and SCP-8071 was getting bored. She decided to go to sleep on the floor, she was getting bored which meant she was getting sleepy... She would wake up later, when Dr. Reen arrived. If he arrives.
