We kept running from the robots, which had started to chase us. By now, my legs were a lot less weak, and I could run fine. But one thing kept circling in my head- what the hell is a Brink?

"Gray, what are those things saying? Brink? Which one of us is a Brink?"
He shouted back, saying "You ask an awful lot of questions, kid! Shut the fuck up and run!"

I really wanted to know what a Brink is, but I had no choice but to bite my tongue and keep running. The robots were starting to gain on us. We ran around corners and through alleyways until, when I was almost out of breath, we arrived at a bridge.

Gray shoved me into the ditch running under the bridge and told me to go under it, and to go as close to the bridge as possible so the robots wouldn't see me or him. We sat in silence like that for a good ten minutes, when Gray took a look and said they're gone. With that, he breathed a sigh of relief.

"Damn. That was a close one." He said, ignoring me.
"Gray. Answer my question from earlier. What the hell is a Brink?"
"Look, kid... Jason. There's some things I can't answer, not because I don't want to answer. I just don't know the answer."

He then stood up and climbed back up out of the ditch, waiting for me to follow. So I did.
"Gray, at the very least, tell me which one of us is a Brink."
Instead of answering me verbally, Gray took off his mask, and... His face looked totally normal. No scars, no deformity, no blemishes. Not what I expected. When he noticed my confusion, he rolled his eyes and opened his mouth, which, from the looks of  it, was full of sharp teeth.

"That's... unique." I glanced away before continuing. "So you're a Brink?"
Gray nodded. "Yeah. Don't start asking questions, because I sure as hell can't answer them."
"Fine..."
"Oh, by the way, Jason, I have someone I need to visit."
"Who?" I was genuinely curious.
"My brother."

And so we continued walking. Gray seemed to know his way around, so I just followed him.

Eventually we came across an old warehouse that looked almost completely abandoned, aside from some faint rock music coming from inside? Why was there rock music?

Before we went in, Gray had something to say.
"So... my brother's a little, energetic, let's say that. Try and avoid talking to him." He then opened the door.

Inside, it was really big. There was a bunch of mechanical parts, robot bits, and worktables scattered around the room. I also noticed a ladder leading to a loft area that I couldn't see.

On a rolling chair, humming along to the previously mentioned rock music, was someone who looked almost exactly like Gray, except his hair was a little longer and he was a bit more muscular.

After a bit, Gray spoke.
"Ahem. Silver."
Those simple words were enough to jumpscare the guy, who was apparently named Silver. When he saw Gray, a look of concern mixed with confusion mixed with recognition flashed across his face. He then spoke.

"Gray... Gray! It's you! Great to see ya again, buddy!"
"Don't call me that."
"Right. Gray. Uh, why don't you come sit down? It's... it's been a while since I last saw you."

Gray went to sit down, and I only now noticed that Silver's left arm was artificial- made of metal. Silver gave me a brief, slightly worried glance before turning his attention back to Gray.
"So, Gray, how you been?" He was obviously forcing a smile as he said this.
I noticed Silver moving toward me slowly as he spoke.
"Man, we sure have a lot to catch up on, don't we, brother?"

Eventually, when he reached me, he put his left hand, the one made of metal, on my shoulder and whispered in my ear.
"Don't trust whoever that bastard is. My brother's been dead for years."
