Lights flicker
Across cracks in the walls
Doors, so many doors
Each beckoning calls
Hallways that wind
And turn
And scream
Each door holding a tormented
Nightmarish dream
The rooms are empty
To an untrained, untainted eye
But for the unloved
The worst imaginable things within lie
You run
You turn
You try to hang on
To some semblance of sanity
But like the lights
It flickers
Fades
and disappears
Overwhelming desire
To see what is held inside
Curiousity trumping rightful fear, a turned doorknob
Another joins those who died
