Flipping through pages
And pages
Of nothing more then nonsense
Like traveling back in time
Every word I wrote
Every heart I drew
Faded on crumpled papers
Back when my world was you
Its amazing
How fast some things can change
Just like that
Never the same
No going back
My writings turn haunted
Slowly fading into careless motions
Losing their taste and all
Of their emotions
That you brought with you
A purpose a sense of hope
And now I read and wonder
How on earth I will cope
A sketch here
Another poem there
The same words, same ideas,
but I don't really care
Not as much
Not without you here with me
I look up
And across the room I see
You, glancing my way
I want to wave but I'm frozen
And have nothing to say
I slam the notebook close
I can't deal with it right now, or ever again
Cause all thats left, notebooks and scribbles
Of what was then
