POV: NAILEA

I step off the elevator, walking into my office sitting down my belongings. I take a sip of my coffee as I prepare myself for the day ahead of me. I have two back to back meetings and an appointment with someone who wants the position on the sales team.

I sit down in my chair leaning my head back as I think of how busy my day will be. As I sit up in my chair, my office door pushes open revealing Aspen.

"Good morning Ms. Laurent." She says as she walks over to me, her blonde hair flowing over her shoulders.

"Good morning Ms. Sorrentino, how are you?" I stand up walking around to the front of my desk leaning against it. Aspen stops in front of me taking over my appearance.

"I'm doing great now that I've seen you." Her eyes trail up and down my body with a smirk on her face.

"Shut up. No way you just said that." I say through laughter. She smiles at me before leaning in and giving me a kiss. When she pulls away, her lips are stained red from my lipstick.

"Your lips are red." She pulls out her phone looking in her camera.

"It's fine, it looks like I have on a lip tint" she shuts her off her phone, placing it back into her pocket. "Come on, first meeting is in five minutes." I groan loudly before grabbing my folder and following behind her.

——————————————————

It is currently 2pm and I just finished the last meeting. The first meeting is with my social media team of creatives to brainstorm ideas for an upcoming social media campaign for a well-known fashion brand. They asked me to be the host for the campaign and I accepted. They're paying me good money. The second meeting was with the owner of the fashion brand. We were discussing how everything would be set up and when.

"I will email you everything that I wrote down. I have to add them in the file." I watch as Aspen closes her laptop placing it in her bag.

"Okay, that's fine" I stand up from my chair pushing it in. "Do you want to go and get lunch?"

"Yes, I'm starving!" Aspen says as she smiles warmly. She stands up making sure she has everything before we exit the room.

We head back into my office to place down our belongings before exiting the building. We step outside feeling the breeze of the air against our skin. I intertwine our hands together as we begin to walk down the street.

"Where do you want to go?" I say as I look over at her. I can never get enough of her.

"I want Chick-fil-A!" She smiled brightly.

"Chick-fil-A is literally all you eat."

"Actually you're all I eat but okay." She says while smirking at me. I gently push her away from me but she quickly pulls me back in. I wrap my arms wrap around her torso as we continue to stroll down the street.

When we come in front of Chick-fil-A, we enter the building and order our meals. We pick them up from the counter and walk over to an empty table sitting down. I ordered a Cobb salad with avocado ranch dressing. Aspen ordered a twelve count meal with Polynesian and ranch sauce. I don't know why she eats those two sauces together but she likes them.

"Do you still have your meeting scheduled for later today?" I watch as she dips her fry in the Polynesian sauce, then the ranch, and then the Polynesian sauce again. "Stop staring at me like that and answer my question."

I chuckle lightly at her comment. "I'm sorry, your eating habits just amuse me. I have a meeting later today but it shouldn't be long." I open my salad picking out the tomatoes and pouring the dressing on top. I put the lid back on making sure it's secure before shaking it around to mix it together. When I'm done, Aspen is staring at me with a sly look on her face.

"Don't start with me."

"I didn't even say anything. Yet."

"And that's exactly your problem." I narrow my eyes at her as I begin to eat my salad. We both eat in a comfortable silence before finishing up and making our way back to work. As we enter the building, we see a lady scrambling to pick up her belongings that fell on the ground.

Aspen rushes over to her and begin to help. I watch their polite interaction as the lady adverts her attention on to me. "Hi, I'm Kylie. I'm here for an interview with Ms. Laurent."

"Hi, Kylie. I'm Nailea Laurent. You can follow me up to my office." I kiss Aspen on the cheek as we walk over to the elevator. We step inside and stand in a comfortable silence as I take a look over her appearance. She has such a familiar face, I have definitely met her before.

"Have we met before? You look very familiar." I tilt my head to the side scrutinizing her.

"No, I don't think we have."

"Hm, interesting." The elevator comes to a stop and step off entering my office.

"You can take a seat here." I gesture to the chair positioned in front of my desk. I sit down in my chair extending my hand out for her portfolio.

"Kylie Smith, tell me about yourself." I say as I skim over her portfolio.

"I am 27 years-old and I have my bachelor degree in business. I studied at the University of California, Los Angeles. I did my internship with my program at UCLA and that really helped me learn a lot." Her voice is shaky and she is fiddling with her finger.

"Where do you see yourself in five years?" I ask as I lean back in my chair crossing one leg over the other.

"In five years, I see myself working here" Everyone gives me the same answer when I ask that. Be different. "I would hope to be the chair of the sales department. I know I would be a great fit for it."

"How would you describe yourself?" I'm getting bored of this, I should've made Aspen do it for me.

"I would describe myself as optimistic, open minded, charismatic, and adaptable."

"How do you think you would be beneficial to the sales department?"

"I know I would be beneficial because of my creativity. I would find new ways to draw in more customers and keep people interested within the company."

"Okay, Kylie. That is all I have for you today. I will get back to you with your hiring status in about three days. Keep an eye out for an email." I stand up from my chair extending my hand out for a handshake.

"Thank you, have a nice day."

"You too." I smile warmly at her before plopping down in my seat sighing. About five minutes later, I hear a knock on my door and Aspen enters.

"How did the meeting go?" She says as she leans against my desk.

"Boring. Very boring. I should've made you do it for me."

She smiles at me before walking over and placing a kiss on the top of my head. "Yes, you should have. Come on, let's go home. You've have had a long day." She grabs our bags and pulls me up out of the seat. I grab her hand as we begin to make our way out the door. I need my bed and a shower as soon as possible.

A/N: I will be rewriting this once it is fully published!

I will definitely try to update more, I just have no motivation. The lack of motivation is because I am writing two other books, those will be published after this one.
