We arrived at the courthouse about thirty minutes later.
I texted Nailea asking if she was here already. She replied a few seconds later saying that she was already inside waiting.
My family and I all got out of the cars and made our way inside. We went through many metal detectors and Zaiden held my hand the entire time.
Walking further down the hallway, I spotted Nailea. I turned around to face my family making them halt their movements, "We're about to go and approach Nailea, no one says anything," I said as I looked between them.
"Okay, we get it! Lead the way to my future wife," Azzi said.
"Did you not just hear- you know what, let's go," I turned around and continued to walk towards Nailea. When I approached her, she immediately pulled me in for a hug.
"I'm very glad you're here."
"I didn't have much of a choice," I said and she narrowed her eyes at me.
I turned around introducing her to my entire family, "Nailea, these people are my family. That's Adrien, Ashtyn, Kaelyn, Zaiden, and my mom and dad Rachel and Andrew; you've already met Azzi and Paityn," I said as I pointed to everyone as I listed their names.
"It's very nice to meet you all, I'm Nailea Laurent; Aspen's boss and ex-girlfriend," she said as she trailed off.
Ashtyn let out a soft whistle as she trailed her eyes over Nailea.
"Nice to see you again future wife," Azzi said making me drop my head in annoyance.
Nailea smiled at Azzi as she nudged my shoulder, "Both of your sisters are hitting on me."
"Yeah, they need to stop," I said as I crossed my arms.
"And why is that?"
I stood there not knowing what to say as my mom cleared her throat, "We're going to sit down. Nailea it was very nice to meet you. I hope we can catch up later," my mom said as she smiled.
Nailea smiled back, "Yes, of course. I'll make us dinner reservations for tonight."
My mom nodded and with that they all left to go sit inside the courtroom. I noticed Zaiden still standing beside me, "What's up Zay?"
I picked him up resting him on my hip. He leaned in my ear whispering, "Your girlfriend is pretty!"
Nailea picked up on this and stepped closer towards Zaiden and I, "Hi, Zaiden," she said making him blush.
"Hi, Miss."
"Awww, you're so handsome," she said as she ruffled his hair. He giggled and said, "Acey said you were mean, I don't think you're mean."
"You're right, I'm not mean. I didn't mean to hurt Aspen but I'm going to make it better with her, okay?"
Zaiden nodded his head and jumped down from my arms. He ran over to Kaelyn who was at the end of the hallway waiting for him. When I saw him safely next to her, I diverted my attention back to Nailea.
