Narrator's pov

It's the day after Renesmee's birthday and her room is filled with gifts from Ruben.

When she woke up she saw ten gifts laying on the floor in smallest to biggest.

But Ruben is nowhere to be found.

Renesmee's pov

I woke up and I saw ten presents on the floor from smallest to biggest.

It has to be from Ruben.

Wait where is she.

I got out of bed and I went downstairs and I got greeted by Jake.

I don't really remember the accident that Ruben talks about between me and Jacob .

He says that she's overreacting about it but Ruben doesn't really show her emotions so if she exploded with emotions then it was probably a big deal.

He starts bringing me closer to him like in a hug but I put my hands on his chest so I don't fully hug him he was trying to pull me more in so I started struggling against him.

That's when Ruben walked in and mad was an understatement.

Oh no.

Ruben's pov

In the very early morning I laid out Renesmee's gifts in her room making sure she didn't wake up.

I changed and got ready.

I opened the door to the Cullen residence and I saw Jacob trying to force my mate to hug him then I saw him lean in to kiss her!

"Oh hell no she's mine". I growled and I threw Jacob out the front doors making sure I didn't brake Esme's windows.

I charged for the front door but Renesmee had a hold on me and she pulled me back.

"Ruben please look at me please" she whispered as she struggles to stop me from moving.

I heard her wince so I turned to her, she released the grip on me but she lightly rubbed her sides.

This dog better not have left a mark on her.

I looked at the hem of her shirt she nodded and I slowly lifted up the material and I saw a mark on her side I checked the other side and it's the same mark.

My eyes turned all red.

"Does it hurt"?.

"Yes but please don't hurt him" she whispered to me.

"Why are you defending him he hurt you ".

"I'm not I don't want him here anymore and if you hurt him you'll have the pack attack you".

"But he hurt you" I growled and turned back to where he was on the ground.

Renesmee pulled on my arm and I turned around.

"There's nothing you can do that'll not make me hurt h-".

She kissed me.

She put her hand behind my neck and pulled me in and she kissed me.

I kissed her back and I wrapped my arms around her waist pulling her closer.

Eventually she wrapped her arms around my neck.

She kissed me.

She pulled away from the kiss.

"Please breathe and calm down". She said while she kissed my nose.

I took a deep breath and my eyes went back to normal.

"I still want him dead ".

"Okay that's fine but you can't, I don't want to lose you"

"Fine"

She kissed me again.

When we broke the kiss I told Jacob to leave and never come back.

He obeyed because I used my compulsion on him.

"Did you see your gifts I left you" .

"Yes I did may I open them".

"Of course let's go up right now".

She took my hand and she walked up the stairs practically bouncing on each one.

She sat down in front of her gifts.

"Open the tiny one then go your way up".

She opened the first one which was the perfume she wanted but it was out of stock.

She kissed my cheek and continued on to the gifts.

She went through all of them and hugged me.

I hugged her back making sure I didn't hurt her.

"Thank you for the gifts".

"No problem, my love".

She blushed and kissed me.

"Don't try to hide your blush I already saw it".

"Stop it".

"Fine".
