The curtains rise.
The crowd cheers.
I guess it's time to make some music,
And hopefully not hurt their ears.
But as I play a nice jazz-like tune
My mind wanders to what happened at noon.
A rabbit, I saw, sprinting in the grass.
It was like a challenge, see how long it could last.
If I were a rabbit, a hare, or a bunny
I would collapse on the spot.
But the rabbit was smarter, or maybe just used to it.
Because it sprinted, ran, and hopped just a bit.
AS the song ends, my mind closes.
But I could have sworn I saw some fuzzy ears in the back.
Must just be the stage light.
Right.
