Chapter6- The Lost Soul continued

Luke's Pov.

I stared at Percy silently, he had just told me that the campers I had yelled at earlier had been murdered. I didn't understand how this had happened so fast, I was silent for a few minutes, ignoring the voice in my head that was talking to me. I looked at him. "...Does anyone know how it happened?..." Percy looked at me quietly for a moment, I could tell that he was hesitant to answer my question. "....They're saying that the campers were...stabbed to death with a short blade...." I went silent as he said this, and looked away. Trying to think about why this would've happened. Percy quietly stared at me and after a moment I turned and looked at him. "....Have they found the....blade?...." He shook his head, looking at me as he did. "No...they haven't found the blade....but Luke....some of the other campers that were there at the hall....they're saying that....that...They think it was you...." I stared at him, silently. "What...?." Percy looked at me, then said again. "....The other campers think that it was you who....murdered those campers...." I frowned, anger slowly rising inside me at these words. "....Why would they think that?....I didn't do anything to them!. I didn't!..." Percy looked at me quietly. ".....I know you didn't do it, I don't know why they think you did...."I sighed, and turned away. Looking down at the floor. "....is there anything else?..." He glanced up at me and was quiet for a moment. "....No, there's nothing else....but i told Chiron that you and I are going to the Underworld tomorrow....and he's allowed us to leave, but he said we need a third 'quest' partner to come with us..." I turned around and stared at Percy. "....Why would we need a third travelling companion?..." Percy shrugged slightly, and looked at me again. "I don't know....but we need to choose someone to come with us..." I sighed, looking at him. "....We could ask....Nico?...or Grover..." Percy stared at me for a moment as i suggested that we could ask either Nico or Grover to come with us. He was quiet, then answered. "....We can ask Nico...I don't think Grover would want to go to the underworld...." I nodded, looking at him. "...okay....let's ask Nico tomorrow morning..." I paused, then frowned. "...Percy...." He looked at me. "...Yes? what is it...?." I went silent, not knowing how Percy would possibly react, but he should know...

I hesitated then looked at him. "....There's something else...that's started happening to me..." Percy frowned, looking at me with a concerned look in his eyes. "....What is it that's started to happen to you?..." I looked away, and went silent for a moment. I didn't want to say it out loud, knowing that hearing voices wasn't ever a good sign for anyone. ".....I've started to hear a disembodied voice...in my head....and I'm positive it's an evil one...." Percy's face went slightly pale at this, and he stared at me going silent for a few minutes. "....Your hearing a disembodied evil voice inside your head?...When did this start?..." I sighed, turning to sit down on my bed as I looked up at him. "....It started happening today...after the hall at dinner...I was walking back here, to my cabin when i heard someone whispering my name, i thought it was a person so i looked around but....nobody was there....and i heard it again..." Percy frowned, looking worried and possibly scared. "....Can you tell me what the voice said to you?....or what it sounds like...?." I looked at him, hesitating. ".....It told me that i can't ignore it...and that i have the power to make the campers afraid of me..." He went silent and looked away. ".....Luke, what does the voice sound like to you?....Who or what does it sound like...?." I looked away as well, then a sudden chill ran up my spine as I realized what the voice in my head sounded like. I shakily looked at Percy, hesitating. "....It...the voice in my head...it...I think it's Kronos's voice..." Percy slightly tensed at hearing me say the name, He looked at me with slightly widened eyes.

"You....You think the voice that's talking to you inside your head, is Kronos?..." I nodded slowly, looking at him. I went silent. "Yes...i think it's him who's talking to me inside my head...I don't know how or why." Percy stared at me, going silent as he did. I could tell that he was going through everything I'd said in his head. He was quiet for a moment, then looked at me. "....Luke...I think you need to speak to Chiron about this....It doesn't sound good...." I sighed, nodding as I looked at him. "Alright....I'll talk to Chiron...." Percy looked at me quietly for another moment. "....Alright...I'll see you tomorrow...." I looked at him, and nodded, watching him as he left my cabin.

After Percy left the cabin, I tried to go back to sleep but I couldn't as i could still hear the echoes of what the voice had said to me. I was quiet, then waited until eventually I fell asleep. But as soon as I fell asleep, I began to have a nightmare.

(LUKE'S NIGHTMARE) 

In the Nightmare, everything was dark, darkness without any form of light, There was nobody around except for me. I looked around and wondered why I couldn't see anything, when a voice that sounded very identical to the one I was hearing in my head suddenly spoke. "....You know who is speaking to you, don't you....Luke?." I turned around....and froze. Staring right back at me, was....me? but as I looked at this copy/doppelganger of me I noticed it had gold eyes instead of blue. I stared at myself. ".....It...It's Kronos...that has been speaking to me in my head....hasn't it?." The doppelganger of myself with gold eyes looked at me silently for a few minutes, I didn't know if he/it/me would answer. ".....Yes...it is..." I went silent and looked around, then turned towards the doppelganger. "....Where are we? and why is Kronos talking to me inside my head?." The 'other' me silently stared at me for a moment. ".....This." He gestured around us, at the darkness that was surrounding us. "....Is your or should i say our mind....And the reason why Kronos is talking to you through your head is because he isn't really gone....if you know what i mean by that...." The 'other' me looked at me and smiled. "....No, what...what do you mean by that...?." He looked at me, I could see the anger, the hate for the gods in the gold eyes that were staring back at me. "....What I mean by that,...is....a piece of Kronos still lives....but it lives inside us..." I felt the cold run up or down my spine at these words....I opened my mouth to say something but I was pulled out of the nightmare by waking up. The last thing I saw before I woke up was two golden eyes staring at me....

(END OF LUKE'S NIGHTMARE) 

I suddenly woke up, and looked around. My cabin was still the same, everything was quiet. But when I looked over towards the mirror in the cabin's bathroom, I saw my reflection. And the coldness that I had felt in my nightmare was growing as in the mirror's reflection, I saw the 'other' me that had appeared in my nightmare. The golden eyes of my evil doppelganger were staring back at me with a twisted smile.

P.S. Percy, Luke and (maybe) Nico will maybe be travelling to the Underworld in the next chapter, but I am wondering what the next chapter should be titled as chapter 5 is called "The Lost Soul" and this chapter (chapter 6) is called "The Lost Soul: Continued." If anyone has any ideas for the next chapter title, please feel free to comment.
