~~Lilac~~
Oh nodding plumes of heavenly fragrance,
Oft heralded goddess of spring!
Come down to earth and join us mortals;
Remember who is truly your King!
Oh blossoms pale purple and sweet
So full of nectar, life, and poise,
We gaze upon your lacy form
And fill our hearts again with joys.
Oh distant flower of dew and rain
With petals floating all around,
Think not too soon that you are queen
Lest time find your glory dead on the ground.

To dance in the moonlight hour,
To sing with you songs of peace,
To hold and be held in your arms,
For worries of the day to cease,
To paint on the canvas of years,
To read in each day our care,
To cry through our sorrows and fears,
To stay with you everywhere!
My mind is filled with joy at these,
And all the scenes I devise
Only deepen my affection
As your love lifts me to the skies.
May we soar forever through life,
Whether comes hell or high tide;
And each day may we make the choice
Together to always abide.

I think about my blessings;
For clearly, truly, in my life
The love of Jesus Christ brings
