Hogwarts express and a certain set of hazel eyes

Y/n's pov

"Platform 9 3/4,9 3/4, 9 3/4" I whispered under my breath

I turned to see my non-identical twin looking around for it too. We said goodbye to our parents claiming we knew exactly where we were going but now it was getting late and we were nowhere near the supposed platform of 9 3/4.

I started to panic, not taking notice of my surroundings. That's when I banged into something and landed on my butt. Groaning, I opened my eyes, I could see through my peripheral vision the person I bumped into offering me a hand up. I look up to see the most beautiful soft, warm hazel eyes looking at me with a glint of mischief. The person grinned and asked," Are you alright?"

"y-yes" I stuttered

"Hello, I'm James, James Potter"

"Hello, I'm Y/n"

He grinned crookedly."Are you going to Hogwarts too?"He asked 

I nodded."do you know where platform 9 3/4 is?"I ask

he takes my hand in his and pulls me towards a wall..... more like a barrier and stopped

"Here it is," He says 

"You are Joking," I said 

"I am not, here let me show you" he walks headfirst into the barrier 

my jaw drops, still too scared to follow him I stay rooted to my spot.

"You coming?" He asks. I close my eyes and run into the barrier preparing for impact but surprisingly, I feel nothing.

I open my eyes to see James grinning at me, i grin back and look around in awe 

Suddenly I hear a voice I know too well behind me i turn around to see Lily glad I found her again i throw my arms around her 

I turn behind hearing a sound like a strangled squeak 

I see James look dumbfounded at my sister even though we are twins we look quite different except for the flaming hair we got from our mother, she has green eyes while I have e/c eyes, and there's no doubt she's the prettier one. so when I see James looking awestruck I chuckle and shake my head, pulling them along to board the train. Lily looks at the boy in disgust and pulls away to sit in a compartment with Severus pulling me along too but I refuse because I don't like Severus and go to sit with James.

We find an empty compartment and settle down when a boy with long curly black hair opens the compartment. We look up at him and smile. 

"Can I sit here ?" He asks

"Sure" me and James reply together

"I'm Sirius black," he says

we introduced ourselves and started chatting when the door opened for a second time, the boy who opened the door froze seeing all our gazes on him. We invited him to sit with us and he sat down gratefully. 

"Hello, I'm Remus Lupin " he mumbles shyly

After yet another round of introductions we talk about everything and anything, I watch the chestnut-haired boy closely and notice his pale drawn face and diagonal scars that run down from his forehead and ear to his cheek and through his lips. soon it was lunch time and the lunch trolley lady asked us what we want 

James buys all of us cauldron cakes while I buy chocolate frogs and berries in every flavor bean the other boys buy a few other things and we share the candy and pleasantly chat about the excitement of the new year and what might be in store for us 

soon we reached the station and found a man who looked like a giant ushering us toward a few boats 

"Four in a boat, Four in a boat " He boomed in his loud voice 

We reached Hogwarts and Professor McGonagall ushered us to  a stool where a weird hat was singing an even weirder song that it seemed to have composed itself

it finished the song and the first-year names started being called 

After Remus, Sirius, and James got sorted into Gryffindor I started to worry what if I'm in another house?

soon my name was called

"Evans, Y/n"

I sat down on the stool trembling

"GRYFFINDOR"

I smirked and went down to sit at the cheering Gryffindor table
