Betty was in her room with her computer, researching about children abuse on Google.
Her mother had sent her to her room so she could yell at Eva, and from what Betty guessed, hit her too. It used to happen once every few weeks only, but now it happened every other day.
She put on her headphones and played her favorite songs while on Google.

'A mother abused her three kids for fifteen years'
'Two children standing up to their father after years of abuse and torture'
'Eleven year old Clara in trial against her abusive father'

The results were heartbreaking, Betty had to hold her tears back about how many trials and stories about abusive families she saw, now she felt even worse for her sister.
But the last one caught her eye, she clicked on it.

'The girl who's been slapped and tossed around by her own father, Clara, finally decided to put a stop to it. Earned some money and hired a lawyer, quickly getting to court and winning the trail.
What does she have to say?'

The article continued for a while and Betty was fascinated.
She seems really brave, I wish I had enough courage to do what she did but for Eve
Betty eventually fell asleep in front of her computer, while her phone played 'not strong enough' by boygenius.

Eva woke up to a new message from scarlet.

Scar: Eveee I'm having a birthday party soon!

Scar: It's on Thursday from 6pm to 10pm at my house

Scar: I really really hope you can come, it'll make my year

Eva wanted to come, she really did. But she knew her mother would never let her, especially on a school night.
She was also afraid, she's never been to a public place without her mom, especially not a party. With so many people.
But she wanted to come for scar, she wanted to make her happy and she knew it'll make herself happy too.

Eve: Of course I'll come! Happy birthday scarrrr

Scar: Really?? I'm so happy you can come and thank you!!

A small smile sneaked its way to Eva's face, while her cheeks heated up.
Oh my god what am I going to do about mom?
Eva started walking back and forth in her room thinking of ways she could convince her mother or sneak out.
She didn't notice the little figure sneaking into her room.
Betty came in and looked at the phone that was unlocked on Eva's desk and saw the birthday party invitation from a girl she saw Eva text a lot.
"Bett what are you doing here?!" Eva quickly snatched her phone back.
"I just wanted to check on you, you're going to a party?" Eva blushed a little thinking about whose party that was. "I want to but no way mom would let me" "I can help you!" "How?" "Well at 6 I can tell mom I'm tired and ask her to read me a bedtime story, you know she'd never say no, and then you can go! Just make sure you come back before mom notices"
Eva thought about it for a second. "That's a really good idea bett, thank you so much!"
"Of course!" Betty ran to hug her sister, who returned the hug and tightened it.

Scarlet was so excited for her birthday in a few days, she was running around the house to make sure they have everything and double checking with everyone coming to the party. She was especially excited to be able to celebrate her birthday with Eva. She was excited to introduce her to all of her friends and have fun with them all together, it was going to be the best day in her life.

"Paris are you staying at home during the party?" Scarlet asked. "Yeah but I'll just be up in my room so I won't bother you and your little friends or anything" her sister didn't even look at her, but continued staring at her phone talking to her friends. she recently broke up with her boyfriend and she was complaining about him all the time. "Okay thank you! And mom you and dad will be out right?" "Yes honey don't worry" "thank you mom!"

Okay Taylor, Juli, daisy, Kate, Emma and Eva, everyone said they're coming, good
Oh my god Eva's coming to my birthday party
Oh my god it's gonna be amazing
I'm so excited

Paris was in her room, Ellie, her best friend, was sitting across her.
"I just don't understand why'd he do that?" She was complaining about her ex again.
"Me neither honey, you deserve better than him. He isn't worth your tears" Ellie tried to comfort her again. Paris sniffled. "Ugh" she fell on her bed frustrated.
Ellie sat next to her and Paris put her head on her lap. "I just-" Paris tried to explain again between sobs. "I get it" she brushed her friend's hair with her fingers.

"I haven't checked in on you yet, it's only been a month since you broke up with your girlfriend" Paris tried to change the topic. "I'm okay I got over it we just dated for two months you and Joe dated for like a year" "yeah I know I just want to get my mind off it" she admitted. Ellie chuckled.
"I have a way to help"

Ten minutes later the girls were sitting in Paris's bed with a popcorn bowl and La La Land playing on Paris's computer.
They were cuddling while watching the movie, and didn't take long to get into the romantic vibe the movie put them in.
Paris snuggled closer to Ellie's chest and they made eye contact.
Ellie's hand moved closer to Paris's face and she leaned in. The girls kissed.
Ellie pulled Paris closer and both girls were blushing while making out.

After Ellie left Paris couldn't stop thinking about her.
Since when do I like girls?
Since when do I like Ellie?
But she did, she liked Ellie.

All those thoughts ran around her head while her little sister was in her room, worried about how her crush could come to her party.
