I love the Enemy (Elena and Klaus love story)

Chapter 21: It's time

*1 month later*
Oh my, the pain it's unbearable. I sit in the living room and I lay down to try and ease the pain. Klaus and Elijah are out on buissness and Rebecca is looking after me while they are out.

I stand up to stretch my back when suddenly I feel a liquid run down my leg I look down and I realise that my waters have broken!

"REBECCA!" She runs into the room and sees that my waters have broken. She grabs her phone and calls Klaus "Klaus Elena's waters have broken it's time I'm taking her down to the hospital" she ends the call and carries me to the car.

When we pull outside the hospital Rebecca says "emergency help please she is giving birth" the nurses come out and carry me to one of the hospital rooms.

I'm laying down and the nurse is telling me to breath so I do she says I have to start pushing soon I wish Klaus would hurry up and be here. I start to cry and the pain is getting more worse and intense by the second.

Suddenly Rebecca and Klaus enter the room and I feel so relieved. Klaus rushes over to me and kisses my head saying "everything is alright now live I am here" I nod.

The nurse says "miss Gilbert it's time" I look at Klaus worried and he grabs my hand for comfort.

The nurse holds my legs open and says "push Elena" I take in a deep breath and push really hard and I start to scream in agony. I see Klaus looking worried at me. He kisses my forehead and I concentrate on pushing.

"Push Elena" I lag even harder and I feel like I'm going to pass out but I can't because im giving birth. "Two more pushes Elena come on" I push again. "One more Elena I see the baby" this time I push so hard that I feel something exit me and I hear crying. I look up at Klaus and he is smiling at me and I look at our baby and one of the nurses say it's a boy. I smile but then I feel the pain return in my belly and I scream.

The nurse comes back rushing over to me and says "deep breath Elena we are going to push again alright" "okay" I struggle to say. "Now push Elena" I push and the stinging sensation is back again.

After about 5 minutes of pushing and crying the nurse says "two more pushes Elena, I see a head" I smile and then I push harder and then she says "one more Elena push!" "Eeahhhh" I push hard and I feel something inside me release.

"It's a girl" the nurse smiles at me and I smile looking at me and Klaus's baby. The nurse washes of the baby's and puts them in a blanket and hands the girl to me and the boy to Klaus. I look at Klaus and he kisses our babies forehead. We swap over and I have the boy and Klaus holds the girl.

After a while the nurse outs the babies in the cot for us and the nurse helps me get change and wash my self up. I walk back in the room and I see Klaus sitting next to my bed when he sees me I smile and walk over to him.

We both walk over to our babies and I lay my head on his shoulder while he puts and arm around my waist "I love you Elena" "I love you to Klaus" he lays me on the hospital bed and I just lay down on him.

"Elena tomorrow we are going to go home and relax then tell everyone the good news" "okay, what are we going to name them?" "How about, Joseph Gilbert and Ruby Gilbert?" "Sure that's amazing I love Joseph and Ruby, but when can we change them to a mikealson?" I tease and he chuckles saying "soon enough love I'll make sure of it, now come on let's sleep we have a big day ahead of us especially seeing Rebecca" I roll my eyes and laugh at him.

We quickly kiss Ruby and Joseph on the head and say goodnight. We get into the hospital bed and I lay my head on his chest and his arms around my waist for support.

I am amazed about having kids but I will make sure that I will protect me and Klaus's children to the end of eternity. I slowly drift asleep.
