Catsushi and Fukuzawa

"Atsushiii" Ranpo let out, getting up from his seat and making his way to his coworkers, lolipop in hand, he looked him up and down.

"Hmm?" Atsushi softly hummed in response, continuing to type away at his report.

"The president has asked for you, that made his head turn. Panic swelled up in his throat, "oh" He slowly got up.

No, what did I do wrong? Was it cus that mission I got took too long to finish- Has he not been training enough- and what if its just that-

He felt a hand on his shoulder take him out of his train of thoughts.

"Its okay, Atsushiii You worry too much" The older man smiled at him cheekily, somehow, it reassured way more than it should. He smiled back before heading towards Fukuzawa's office, lightly knocking.

"Its me, Atsushi" He spoke before entering. Fukuzawa paused, looking up from his pile of work and files and whatnot, and giving the man a small reassuring smile after noticing his tense behaviour.

"Here" Fukuzawa said passing him a box from ...a bakery?

"Thank you?" Atsushi asked before excusing himself back to his desk. He sat down on his seat and took it into his lap.

"Oooh You got a gift from the president, Atsushi-kunn?" Dazai asked, leaning over behind him and leavin his arms to warp around Atsushi's shiulders, his head peeping from atop Atsushi's hair.

"Yes, Dazai-san" Atsushi said, mocking annoyance but in reality, he never really minded the undivided attention Dazai would give him. It was sweet, nice, and made him feel...loved.

He opened up the box to see...cat shaped macaroons?

"Hawww Atsushi-kun got macaroons from the president" Dazai pouted, reaching in to take one from the box. Atsushi just stared absolutely stunned. What was this even for?

As if understanding his struggles of confusion, Ranpo came in and smiled at him, he hated that the mans smile gave him so much reassurance. "The president is sulking."

"What?"

"He's a big fan of cats and hes one of the few people you haven't turned into a cat Infront of"

Atsushi finds himself flushing in embarrassment. "Oh"

Ranpo sighs mockingly, ruffling Atsushi's hair before muttering a soft "Sorry" into his ear. Ranpo gave a look to Dazai, as Atsushi looked up, he hared the same words slip out his mentor's lips. "Sorry Atsushi-kun" Before a loud bang was heard, Dazai had harshly hit his empty water bottle against the desk. "EEP!" Atsushi squeaked out before a puff of blue smoke turned him into a cat.

"I'm so sorry Atsushi-kun!" Dazai looked apologetically towards the cat, who just hissed at him in displeasure. Ranpo carefully picked up the cat, gently taking it into his arms before he walked inside Fukuzawa's office and dropped him into the poor man's lap.

"Meow!" Atsushi spoke at as he grabbed onto the man's yukata for balance with his little paws. looking up at the older man.

"Everyone else has work to do, so you'll have to take care of him pres!" Ranpo spoke before walking out and shutting the door behind him. Fukuzawa sighed, rubbing the bridge of his nose, "Im sorry for this" He spoke to Atsushi who just returned his look of annoyance, taking out a little chuckle from Fukuzawa.

Atsushi meowed at him softly before settling into the man's lap. Fukuzawa hesitantly let down his hand and caressed the cat's head. softly stroking its head, Atsushi warming up to the touch.

"You know, if you really are this cute all the time when you're a cat, I might have you stay stuck like this forever" Atsushi looked up in horror at the sentence. It was said so nonchalantly as if he wasn't suggesting Atsushi to be a cat for the rest of his life.

Fukuzawa laughed at the reaction, petting his head once again before going back to his paperwork.

It didnt take him very long to realise that was the wrong decision, because Atsushi suddenly wanted his attention 24/7. He did stroke his head as he was reading the apers, but as he began to write up remarks, he clearly seemed to have inflicted some severe neglect on Atsushi because the cat was practically about to scratch him for it. Catsushi had stood up and was rubbing against his chest in a dispute for affection, meowing at him sweetly and looking up at him with big round pretty eyes.

And how could he ever say no to them?

Pretty honey gold blending into the starry lavender night, like the sunset itself had stopped in time to be admired forever.

He sighed in frustration, knowing he had lost the battle to Atsushi, who smiled triumphally as he got picked and taken outside to a nearby garden to sniff flowers.

He looked at all of the flowers and foliage brushing against the feet of the man holding him in place. He peeked his head out and caught his eye on some chrysanthemums. He jumped out the man's arms and walked down to the flowers, they were bright and yellow, shining brightly amongst the other plants.

"You like that one, Atsushi?" Fukuzawa asked. Atsushi meowed at him happily before trotting off to some sunflowers, he looked up at it with fascination before jumping up to grab one all before he sneezed at the pollen entering his little nose.

"Atsushi!" Fukuzawa came to his side, picking him up with ease, and rubbing the bridge of his tiny nose and...booping it.

"Pollen allergy, eh?" He asked. The cat in his arms simply turned back to look at the sunflowers. Fukuzawa bent down and took out a small one, planting it atop Atsushi's little head. Atsushi looked up at him, only to see the usually stoic man's face in a wide smile.

"Careful, you might drop it" Fukuzawa said, pushing the sunflower to the centre of his head.

Yeah maybe he should just stay in one place, he thought as he yawned, nuzzling into the soft fabric of the man's yukata.

He'll think about the consequences of treating your boss like your father tommorow, after he sleeps in the man's firm, protective arms.
