Chapter 10: Milim In Tempest

Rimuru POV

After agreeing on rules she will have to listen to, my unexpected visitor and Velzards niece, Demon Lord Milim Nava and I were on our way to the central plaza of the city

She was humming and eating a jar of honey that I gave her. After learning about her position, and especially the title of a Destroyer, man would think that she is some kind of cruel monster that Destroys nations on a whim, but she is a very sweet little girl

A usually short trip back to the city lasted far longer than it should thanks to Milims unending curiosity. Every now and then she would stop to ask about this and that

And from the moment we entered the city... it took even longer, she was like a curious kid that is on her first-ever field trip, even though she is actually an ancient Demon Lord who is thousands of years older than me

After we finally reached the central plaza, we stood on a stage that was built there in a rush. In front of us were standing all of the Tempestians, waiting to find out what is this all about

I was the first one to speak up

" Hey everyone, I want you to meet my bestie, Milim!" I announced with pride

The crowd erupted with cheers and whistles, everyone was proud and happy that their lord is acquainted with someone like the ancient Demon Lord Milim, add the fact that we are besties and we already have an excuse to throw a little party tonight

I am currently sitting in my office together with Milim. We are eating some cookies and enjoying the hot cocoa that Shuna brought to us. Even though it's summer, it feels good to drink such a warm drink, it's hard to explain why, but it is what it is

Not too long ago I had some maids take Milims measurements so we can prepare her some... less revealing clothes. She was not very thrilled while they were doing it, but she did sound excited when I told her that she will get new clothes that she might find enjoyable

" Rimuru when can we go back to the down?" Milim asked with a pout while throwing her arms around

' Her childish side is cute'

" Well Milim, soon the preparation will be done, so we can go then" I said matter of factly

" Yay!" she leaned toward me with stars in her eyes

We spent some time talking about many things, well it was more me answering Milims questions, but it was still nice. I thought about how I should let Milim know about my relationship with Velzard soon, but I don't think that it's time yet. From what I heard, Velzard, Veldora, and Velgrynd-san weren't there for her when she needed them so I don't want her to misunderstand why am I being so nice to her

Yes, part of me thinks that I should be nice to her because she is Velzards niece, but for the most part, I am doing this because I like her as a person, not someone I could exploit for my gain. I truly want to be a friend with Milim, so I will make sure that she feels welcome here

* KNOCK KNOCK*

Someone knocked on the door, forcing me to put all of these thoughts aside and focus on him or her

" Come in" I said

The door opened revealing one of our Goblina maids

" Rimuru-sama, Milim-sama, we have prepared your outfits" she said in a passive tone

Soon multiple maids came into the room and started changing us. They placed a small wall in the middle of the room so they could separate Milim and me, for the obvious reason
