Chapter 9: Demon Lord Milim

It has already been a week since Velzard left, but not much has happened in the meantime

The growth of the city is so unexpected and good that nobody besides Raphael-sensei could have predicted it

We are already done with constructing all the facilities that are necessary for life, so now we are in the process of making public baths, hot springs, and some other touristic locations

If I really have to point out something big that happened, that would be King Gazel bringing his former minister, Vesta, yeah that Vesta, to aid us as a scientist

We began trading with them and are currently building a road toward Dwargon to ease the process

We agreed that all of the construction will be done by Tempest in exchange for lowering the prices of the items that the Tempest as a nation will be purchasing, well for only four years but it still helps us a lot

We also formed our own police force, well, we just turned the military unit of goblin riders into a police force, but don't sweat the small details

I spent most of my days in the governmental building since my home is currently being reconstructed

Before she left, Velzard and I made plans for our house, so now I am working on completing it

It will be a two-story building made in western design. Initially, I wanted it to have a Japanese design, but since Velzard isn't familiar with those kinds, we decided to go with the western one

But I still got to have a private open hot spring in the backyard

The first floor will have a comfy kitchen since I like to cook, a large living room so we can relax, and a bathroom if some of our guests need it, after all, Velzard and I don't need to use it

The second floor will consist of a master room where Velzard and I will sleep, three guests rooms, study rooms one for me and Velzard each and a bath

The basement will be a giant library where we can get any books we would possibly need

Velzard said that she really likes to read, so I made sure to get as many books as possible, from my world as well as from this one

There will even be a special place in the courtyard with the sole purpose of being comfortable for reading

I didn't tell her about this one since I wanted to keep it as a surprise

This morning I spent by overwatching the training of our troops

Military units that were previously created for battle with orcs were now split into the police force and haunting units that are helping us gather food

Well we still have our military units that are in charge of preventing monsters from attacking the territories beyond the Jura forest

If they do, humans will have a way to justify invading us, so we are doing everything we can to prevent that from happening

After I was done with that, I went back to my office to take care of my remaining work

* KNOCK KNOCK*

I heard somebody knock on my door

" Come in" I shouted

The door opened and revealed the man with black hair and golden eyes in a butler suit

The man came a little closer and bowed politely with a hand on his chest

" Rimuru-sama" he said politely
