Chapter 4: Questions

*Severus' pov*

Severus Snape sat at the Slytherin table, his gaze fixed on the Hufflepuff table where Coin Evans sat chatting with James Potter. He couldn't shake the feeling of confusion and curiosity that had taken hold of him ever since he first saw Coin. She bore a striking resemblance to Lily Evans his ex best friend, surely he would know if she had another sister right?

Severus had never met Coin before, but he found himself captivated by her unique appearance and demeanor. She seemed different from the other students at Hogwarts, more thoughtful and quiet.

As he watched Coin and James laughing and chatting, Severus felt a pang of jealousy because it seems James gets every girl he has a slight interest in, but it was quickly replaced by a burning curiosity. He wanted to know more about Coin, to understand what made her tick, and why she looked so much like Lily.

Deciding to take matters into his own hands, Severus approached the Hufflepuff table, his heart pounding in his chest. He felt nervous but determined as he walked up to Coin and James, who looked up in surprise as he approached.

Seeing Severus, James quickly gathered his things. "I should go," he said to Coin with a forced smile. "I'll see you later."

"Um, sure," Coin replied, her voice soft and slightly hesitant.

Severus sat down, his demeanor cold and formal as he introduced himself. "I'm Severus."

"I'm Coin," she replied, giving him a polite smile.

Severus found himself drawn to Coin's green eyes, which reminded him so much of Lily's. He wondered what it would be like to get to know her better, to have a new friend.

"So, Coin, I couldn't help but notice that you look a lot like Lily Evans," Severus said, his tone still cold and formal.

Coin's eyes widened in surprise. "Yeah, I get that a lot," she replied, her voice tinged with sadness. "Lily's my sister."

"I see," Severus said, feeling slightly embarrassed but also relieved to finally have an answer to his question. "I'm sorry for being so blunt. It's just that you look so much like her, it's uncanny."

"It's okay," Coin said, giving him a reassuring smile. "I'm used to it by now."

Severus nodded, feeling a sense of closure now that he had his answer. "Thank you for telling me," he said, standing up from the table. "I'll see you around, Coin."

"Sure," Coin replied, her voice barely above a whisper as she watched Severus walk away.

Severus returned to the Slytherin table, his mind racing with thoughts and emotions. He knew that he needed to confront his feelings for Coin and decide what he truly wanted before it was too late.

As he sat down at the Slytherin table, Severus felt a renewed sense of determination. He was determined to get to know Coin better, to understand what made her tick, and see if she was really Lily's sister or if she was lying to get popular.
