The Great Hall was filled with the chatter of students as they gathered for dinner, the aroma of roast chicken and pumpkin juice filling the air.
Coin Evans sat at the Hufflepuff table, her ginger hair cascading down her back as she chatted with some of her housemates about their day.

Just then, Lily Evans approached the Hufflepuff table, her green eyes narrowed as she glared at Coin. "Mind if I join you?" she asked, her voice sharp and accusatory.Coin looked up, surprised to see her sister. "Lily, what are you doing here?" she asked, her tone tinged with confusion. She was shocked that Lily was speaking to her, as they rarely interacted.Lily ignored Coin's question. "I need to talk to you," she said, her voice dripping with contempt. "It's about James and Severus."Coin looked at Lily, her eyes filled with curiosity. "What about them?" she asked, her voice tinged with apprehension.Lily sighed, her expression serious. "I've noticed that you've been spending a lot of time with James and Severus lately," she said, her voice filled with jealousy. "I'm worried about the influence they might have on you."Coin looked at her sister, surprised by her words. "What do you mean?" she asked, her voice tinged with disbelief. "James and Severus are my friends. Why shouldn't I spend time with them?"Lily crossed her arms, her expression defiant. "I'm just concerned, that's all," she said, her voice cold and dismissive. "James can be reckless, and Severus... well, you know how I feel about him. I just don't want to see you get hurt."Coin felt her heart sink as she listened to Lily's words.
"Lily, I appreciate your concern," she said, her voice shaking with emotion. "But I can make my own decisions about who I spend my time with. I thought you would trust me to do what's best for me."Lily looked at her sister, her eyes filled with contempt. "Trust you? With them?" she sneered. "You're just like them, Coin. A follower, not a leader. You're choosing to hang around with them, so don't expect me to stick around and watch you ruin your life."With that, Lily turned on her heel and stormed out of the Great Hall, leaving Coin staring after her in shock.
As Coin gathered her belongings and prepared to leave the Great Hall, she couldn't help but feel a sense of sadness and regret. She knew that her relationship with Lily had been strained for a reason she was not aware of, but she never imagined that it would come to this.

After leaving the Great Hall, Coin felt a heavy weight on her chest as she made her way to the Hufflepuff common room. The echoes of Lily's words continued to haunt her, filling her mind with doubt and confusion.

As she entered the cozy common room, she spotted Rachel Williams sitting by the fireplace, engrossed in a potions textbook. Rachel was a fifth-year Hufflepuff known for her intelligence and kind nature. She was Coin's study partner in several classes and had become a close friend over the years.

"Coin, is everything alright?" Rachel asked, her voice filled with concern as she noticed the troubled expression on Coin's face.

Coin sighed and sat down beside her, her eyes reflecting her distress. "It's Lily," she admitted, her voice trembling. "We had a fight, and I don't know what to do."

Rachel set aside her textbook and turned to face Coin, her eyes filled with understanding. "What happened?" she asked.

Coin recounted her conversation with Lily, the hurtful words and accusations still fresh in her mind. As she spoke, her voice wavered with emotion, and she struggled to hold back her tears.

Rachel listened attentively, nodding occasionally as she absorbed the details of the situation. When Coin finished speaking, she took a moment to gather her thoughts before responding.

"I'm sorry you're going through this, Coin," Rachel said, her voice filled with empathy. "It sounds like you and Lily are going through a rough patch. And she might be a bit jealous that you are finally coming out of your shell."

Coin looked at Rachel, grateful for her compassionate words. "Thank you, Rachel," she said, her voice filled with gratitude. "I just wish Lily could see that I'm not trying to replace her or change who I am. I just want to be able to make my own decisions and have my own friends."

Rachel nodded in understanding. "It's natural to want to grow and explore new friendships," she said. " Have you tried talking to her openly about how you feel?"

Coin sighed, feeling a renewed sense of determination. "You're right, Rachel," she said, her voice steadier now. "I'll try to talk to Lily again and hopefully, we can find a way to move past this and finally have a relationship with my sister."

Rachel smiled warmly at Coin, her eyes filled with encouragement. "I believe in you, Coin," she said. "And remember, you're not alone. You have friends who care about you and will support you no matter what."

Feeling a renewed sense of strength and resolve, Coin thanked Rachel for her support and made her way to her dormitory, determined to face the challenges ahead and repair the bond with her sister.

As she lay in bed that night, reflecting on the events of the evening, Coin realized that she had a long journey ahead of her. But with the support of her friends and the determination to stay true to herself, she was ready to face whatever came her way.
