Chapter Two

Nick's Pov

"Are you ready for the new season?" I've been asked this question for the 10th time and I've run out of different answers. Pre season media day sucks.

"Ah yeah you know it's a new team for me and I'm still getting settled in but I'm pretty confident about the car because the team has been working very hard and hopefully we'll be able to score some good points this season."

This is my first year with XtremeAuto I'm not a rookie but my teammate is so that means I'm the main guy this season and I need to prove myself to the team that I'm worthy of this seat. Ever since I was a kid I wanted to be a F1 driver for the best team in the paddock and I'm living my dream and there is no way I'm gonna fuck it up.

Finally after three hours of answering the same questions I finally made it to the track for the track walk, I mean it's not really a walk because I drive my kick scooter. Bahrain is one of favourite tracks, it holds really special memories. I got my first podium in Bahrain in 2019.

"HEY NICK!!! STOP!!" I heard a kid yelling my name on top of his voice, he probably burst this voice box.

"Can I please get an autograph? I'm a huge fan!!!" He's so close to me and still yelling.

"Yeah of course, but can you please stop yelling, you're gonna make me deaf."

"Oh sorry, my bad." He said giving me the autograph book.

As I was about to ask his name I heard him saying,
"Whoaa is that the new ultratron kick scooter??!!! That's so cool."

Wow he knows his scooters, didn't expect that from a 10 year old kid. I'm impressed.

"How do you know so much about scooters?"

"Oh nothing I got many scooters at home since that's the only thing I'm allowed to drive right now."

"Do you wanna come with me? I can take you for a round"

Shit that sounds like such a bad idea but I can't take it back now.

"Are you serious??!!! Hell yeah!!!!"

Yeah what did you expect, that he would say no.

Dumbass.

"Wait but where are your parents, we should tell them."  I don't wanna get in trouble because of this kid.

"Oh don't worry, my sister works here she knows I'm on the track."

"Alright come on, let's go."

He hopped on the scooter infront of me and we took a whole round of the track and I've never seen anyone this happy about taking a scooter ride on the racetrack.

"So what's your name?" I asked the kid.

"Jacob. Jacob Miller." He said but he was too distracted by the track.

"And what about your sister?"
Shit that came out wrong and yeah Jacob noticed that too because he was not distracted anymore and looking up at me with a very suspicious look.

"Sorry, I meant what does she do?"
Yeah that sounds better.

"Oh she's an actress but she's gonna be with you guys this season as a official Formula 1 interviewer" he said again shifting his focus back to the track.

I didn't know we had a new interviewer, I didn't really like the girl last season she used to flirt a lot, I mean I'm not saying I'm not a fan of flirting but sometimes it gets a bit too much and that was the case with her. I just hope Jacob's sister isn't like her.
