Chapter Six

Bethany's Pov

The meeting was at the driver's lounge, which was basically a room where the driver's used to come before the parade or the photoshoot for the protocol meetings.

"Well everyone is here, we're running a bit late." Bella said as we were sprinting towards the lounge.

When we reached, we both were out of breath, I have a lungi capacity of an old lady and I don't work out either so I'm definitely gonna have sore thighs tomorrow. We both entered the room huffing and puffing and about 20 heads turned in our directions.

"Sorry guys we're late." Bella said to guys while getting herself and me a bottle of water.

"It's okay Bells. We weren't waiting for that long." A familiar voice with a Spanish accent said, I've heard that voice before, I can't remember where but when I looked up to see who spoke.

"Oh my god, you AGAIN." It was Mr. Irresponsible, my day just got worse, I can't believe I forgot he is a driver, I had read it in my notes but I guess it slipped out due to our very lovely conversation.

"Yes, me AGAIN. Hi Bethany, it's nice to meet you AGAIN, I'm Nicholas."

He said while offering his hand to me AGAIN, what's with this guy and handshakes.

"It's NOT nice to meet you." I said emphasizing on the not a little bit more, this time taking his hand.

But as soon as our hands touched I got goosebumps all over my body and I think he noticed that, because even he shifted uncomfortably and let go of my hand.

As he was stepping back from me another guy stood between us and introduced himself to me.

"Hi! I'm Leo, I'm Nick's teammate, it's very nice to meet you." He said in a very excited voice while extending his hand towards me.

I took it, but this time nothing happened no goosebumps or anything just a normal handshake. I don't know, I guess it was because Nick's hands were cold, yeah that's what it was, nothing else.

"Hi, I'm Bethany, it's good to meet you Leo." I said awkwardly.

I'm not that great with people at first but once I get comfortable around them, they become like my family.

"Did you actually threaten Nick that you'll kick him in the balls?" He said snickering.

Oh fuck, I can't believe that douchebag told him, ugh well there goes my good first impression. I swear this man ruins everything.

"Well..." As I was about to answer when I was interrupted by everyone coming in to introduce themselves.

There were 2 Spanish drivers Nick and Roberto, 4 British drivers Leo, Liam, Louis and Henry, 1 Indian driver Ayaan, 3 Australian drivers Andrew, Jason and Joshua, 2 Dutch drivers Elijah and Lucas, 2 Italian drivers Enzo and Colton, 1 French driver Gabriel, 1 Chinese driver Zihan, 2 Japanese drivers Aki and Kenji, 1 Canadian driver Will and 1 American driver Samuel.

After all the introductions, all the boys settled down and I went next to Bella as she was briefing the guys about what my job was here and how long was gonna stay with them this season.

"Basically she is just gonna do normal interviews but for the official F1 YouTube channel, Bethany's gonna stay with us for the whole season, she's gonna be here during every race weekend and you guys need to co-operate with her..."

Everyone was looking at Bella while she was speaking but Nicholas was staring at me with his devil eyes, to make him stop staring I looked at him hoping that with that he'll look away but somehow we both ended up in a staring competition, both of us were too stubborn to let it go first until Bella nuged me with her elbow. I was supposed to say a few words to the boys.

"Hi guys, as Bella said I'm gonna be here for the whole season so I really hope that everyone gets comfortable with having me around and the season goes smoothly." I said awkwardly, I'm not that good at these things, I hate public speaking.
