"Do I have to?" I asked pleadingly. "YES!" "But I don't want to!"
"That's nice now do you prefer floral or peach dresses?" She asked. "JANIE!!" I groaned.
Janie was trying to get me to go to this campfire shit our school was hosting. Oh yeah, did I mention it's in the woods and I am not a woods person.
"Ale!!" She replied with the same tone. God my best friend can be frustrating sometimes.
"Floral." I replied hastily. "That wasn't so bad now was it." She asked. "Shush." I replied.
"How about this dress?" She asked. I stripped and tried it on.
"Wow.... I am good!" She said.
After we prepared ourselfs we took a couple pictures and walked outside to Janie's new car. That's right she has a car now just cuz' she's a bad bitch like that!
Before hopping in the car I saw the lights of Darren's mustang on. So he's going. I don't know why but Darren and alcohol don't sound like a good combination.

"WE'RE HERE!!!" Janie screamed shutting off her car. "AND I'M RIGHT HERE YOU DON'T HAVE TO SHOUT!!" I yelled back. "Sorry.." She smiled sheepishly.
We got of the car and walked into the woods towards the campfire. Doesn't wood burn? Should they do this in I don't know a concrete place that wouldnt burn down?
Everone had their shots by now and ere limping. I vowed to never drink again ever since that night at Darren's. He had other plans though, every now and then when I saw him he would always have a different drink in his hand.

3 Hours and lots of fun later, the music was stopped and the screeching of the mic could be heard through the speakers they had set up. A very tipsy Darren who I thought was going to fall anytime came on the mic. He looked about ready to pass out.
"C-can I have everyone's attenting please." He said slurring.
Everyone stopped what they were doing and looked at Darren. "I wanted to take this time to say... that all the g-girls in the lake are looking f-fine." He said. A cheer erupted from the girls and he grinned.
"Oh!" He added before everyone looked away causing their attention to be back on him. "I also wanted to say that I think.. t-that Alejandra Hillins is beautiful."
Everyone turned to me. My eyes widened and my mouth fell opened in shock. "What is he doing?!" I hissed to Janie.
"Ale I think that you are amazing. I know we don't really get along that much but the times that we aren't fighting their... cool. Yeah." He said his voice fading at the end.
"I.. um.. I guess, I'm trying to say that I um.. I like you." He said. I blushed.
Darren Shields just said that he likes me in front of the whole senior students. Me!
"Thank you." He said as a Bruno Mars song began to play.
