Ch. 1 The New Kid

"Miss Hillins and Mr. Johnson can you two go to the office and pick up our newest student." Mrs. Perkins said. Mrs. Perkins was my homeroom teacher and Javier was my best guy friend, Javier Johnson. I stood up and waited for him at the door. We walked  out of the classroom and walked towards the elevator (our class was on the second floor) "So how ya been?" I asked nudging him with my elbow. He chuckled and replied "Good and you?" "Awesome!" I said cheerfully.

The elevator door opened and we stepped out walking towards the office. We entered the office I saw a girl about my age. I was pretty disappointed, I was hopping it was a guy, a hot one too. Just then I saw Mrs. Williams our principal walking with a guy. And may I add a VERY hot one. "I think you will find Coral Shores High School a very nice school Mr. Shields." Mrs. Williams said. "Thanks." He said with an unamused voice. "Hi." I said getting Mrs. William's attention.

"Oh, hello there can I help you?" She said.  "We're here to pick up Mrs. Perkins's new student." Javier said. "Oh well here he is, Alejandra and Javier I present to you, Darren Shields, Darren, Alejandra Hillins and Javier Johnson." "Nice to meet you!" I said. "Wish I could say the same." He replied. I looked at him with a "WTF?" look. Javier put his hand over my shoulder protectively. Javier and Darren did one of those guy nods. Of course Mrs. Williams was gone already.  

"So are we going to stay here or are we going to class?" He asked. What a jerk! The whole walk back was silent. We got to class and sat down except for Darren. He stood in the front of the room with an annoyed face. "Well class please welcome Darren Shields, he's new here and I would appreciate it if you all made him feel welcomed." Mrs. Perkins said. "Not likely." I whispered to myself.

"Daren please take a seat in any desk that is available." She said. And just my luck, it happened to be the seat next to me. He took a seat next to me, looked at me then winked. I rolled my eyes and looked forward. 

At Lunch

"The new kid's hot!" Janie said. "I know but he's an asshole." I replied. I told her what happened in the office. "Hmm.. so we have a bad boy... even better!" She said. I raised my eyebrows and shrugged. I admit he was kind of appealing. Something about him made me want to get to know him better.

After School

"Oh no! I missed the bus!" I said to myself. I was currently the only one at school. I suddenly felt a hand on  my shoulder. I jumped a little and turned around to see Darren. "Ha-ha what happened did you see a ghost?" He asked. "Worse I'm looking at the devil himself." I replied. He grinned and asked "You want a ride?"

"Be with you? In the same car?! I don't think so." I said. Here comes my luck again, it started raining. "So you would rather walk in the rain than ride with me?" He asked. "Pretty much!" I said. "Come on baby." He said. "Fine I'll go, with one condition." I said. "What?" He asked. "You never call me baby again!" I said. "Deal!" He said as he led me to his car.

He drove a red Mustang, with a personalized licence plate that said "Perfect". Cocky much? "Where do I take you?" He asked. I told him my address and he chuckled. His chuckle was adorable! "What?" I asked. "Nothing" he replied.  "Why does your license plate say "Perfect"? Are you that coincided?" I asked. "I'm not coincided I'm just aware of how sexy I am" He said.

I stared at him for a long amount of time with a blank expression. Can somebody be this coincided. "It's not polite to stare... but I understand!" He said. Yup it was official he was the most coincided person I had ever met. But he did have a reason I mean he's HOT! Before I knew it he said "We're here."

I live in an apartment. Since I had a single mom it was only us two so we didn't need more space. There was one thing that I hated about our apartment though. The were apartment buildings were so close you could climb out the window and enter right in to someone's room. Oh and did I mention my neighbor and I had a window right in our rooms that were right in front of each other? But luckily no one lived next door. I got out of the car and said "Bye."

I turned around to leave but turned back  and said with a half smile "Thanks for the ride." I saw him drive next to my house then stop and get out of the car. I stared at him puzzled. "I live here now" He said with a smirk. I walked inside and went straight to my room since my mom always worked. I dropped my stuff and jumped on my bed. I sat facing up staring at the ceiling thinking about today when I hear *pang pang*

I sat up and  looked at my window. There I saw Darren standing on the window in from on me. I looked shocked. Darren was going to be able to look into my room at all times?! I really need to get myself a curtain!
