8:17 p.m., time posed.

Darwin walked over the floor and pulled the door open. He steps out, admiring the view of the boats and the falling sunset.

The pizza guy had delivered the hot meal, and Darwin simply gave him a twenty in a tip.

Twila smiles, bringing out the paper plates and napkins.

George and Darwin, sitting, enjoying the pizza, watching the boats. Lights on the waves, such a beautiful ending of the night.

Boys were playing near the waters, running through the sands, skipping, letting the kites lift off the ground.

Dark clouds rolled in, giving the effervescence of a storm, the winds kicked up, whipping the kites away.

Darwin pulls out his pipe, lighting up the beam of tobacco, the sweet smell of cherry filling the night air.

George says, 'There's a little chill in the air, want to go inside? I need to know if Twila still gambles?'

Darwin says, 'Unfortunately, secretly, we don't talk about her bouts, now and then. I love her with my whole being,  and I am afraid it's going to get worse before it gets better. The marriage is coming up, and I can't shake the feeling. Does she love me for my money?'

George speaks out, 'I want only the best for her, but she has a fallen into an addiction. I am hoping that I can get her to come to her senses. But, it has to be her choice.'

Darwin puts his pipe down in the ash can, says, 'Lately, Twila has been ghosting me. I can't reason with her. She doesn't listen to me, looks away, there's a bitterness in her. She watches the clock on the wall, not saying anything. I try to talk about our future, our wedding. She needs prayers.'

George breathed a single sigh, 'I will try to do the brotherly thing. I am here to help her. She needs me. I am not turning my back on her. She is all I have left. We are family.

Darwin agrees, 'I believe you.'

The phone rings,  interrupts Darwin...

Darwin - Hello, Tonya.

'Well done, that's a wrap,' Donatel announced.

The curtain falls.
