The Ode of Remembrance: They went with songs to the battle, they were young,

Straight of limb, true of eyes, steady and aglow,
They were staunch to the end against odds uncounted,
They fell with their faces to the foe.

They shall grow not old, as we that are left grow old:
Age shall not weary them, nor the years condemn
At the going down of the sun and in the morning
We will remember them.

Anzac Day is an annual event that happens every year in Australia and New Zealand on the 25th of April, and is a day to remember the lives lost during World War I and II, and any other conflicts that came after that. It is currently the 108th anniversary of Anzac Day, and the 109th anniversary of World War I.

.

The first Anzac Day happened on April 25th, 1916, a year after World War I ended. The reason the day is called Anzac Day, is because it stands for the Australian and New Zealand Army Corps, or ANZACs. A few of the things you can do on this special day, are Dawn Services, Wreath laying ceremonies, making Anzac Biscuits, attending military services, and taking a minute of silence to reflect on the sacrifices made to keep us safe and allow us to live the life we do today.
