Chapter 3

To put Niall's plan in motion, he decided to leave the pool and venture out of the house. Lucky for him, Harry was going to the market the next day and Niall asked to tag along. Etta was at work and normally being alone with Harry sounded like heaven, but right now he had a bigger mission. 

They arrived at the market and Niall followed Harry inside. While Harry picked out different foods, occasionally asking Niall his opinion on an item or what he prefers, Niall partially responded but looked around to see if there were any possible targets. 

He spotted one boy by the cash register who looked around his age and who was cute, Niall smiled to himself. 

Now, Niall wasn't a particularly shy boy, he enjoyed talking to people and boys were no different. He liked flirting, even if it wasn't always reciprocated, he enjoyed making people flustered. 

After Harry was done shopping, Niall directed him to the check out line where the boy was, trying to be nonchalant about it. 

Harry placed the items on the counter and the boy eyed Niall for a moment before he started scanning the items. 

"Um Harry?" He asked innocently and Harry turned to him. 

"Could you get blueberries?" He asked smiling even more innocently. 

"Niall I asked if you wanted anything else" Harry huffed out but nodded anyway walking to grab the blueberries. 

Niall looked back at the boy who had paused his scanning to watch the interaction. 

"Sorry, i totally forgot them" Niall said and smiled and the boy smiled back. 

"It's okay, you're boyfriend didn't seem to mind" He shrugged and Niall laughed. 

"Oh no not my boyfriend, my counsins actually, i'm more into boys that work at grocery stores" Niall smiled again and the boy blushed a little. 

"What's your name?" The boy asked now totally pausing his scanning and looking at Niall. 

"Niall, what's yours?" He asked. 

"Luke, you from here? Irish accent is giving you away" He said and Niall laughed. 

"Yeah from Ireland, just staying here for the summer" He nodded and the boy nodded then looked Niall up and down casually. 

"Let me get your number, show you around this summer" Luke said taking a pen out from the little cup by the register and handing it to Niall. 

Niall smiled and took the pen and lightly grabbed Lukes arm. As he started writing his number on his hand, Harry came back with blueberries in hand. 

He paused looking at the exchange but Niall ignored him and finished writing before handing the pen back over. 

Luke blushed at seeing Harry then finished scanning the items and Harry paid for them. 

"See you later" Niall said lightly to Luke who smiled back and nodded as they left the store. 

When Niall and Harry got back into the car, a few minutes passed as they drove when Harry spoke up. 

"Those blueberries must've been really important" he said and looked over at Niall with an annoyed look on his face. 

Niall grinned, "Very important yes" he agreed. 

"What's his name?" Harry asked looking back at the road. 

"Luke" Niall responded playing with the end of his tee shirt.
