"Why are you so irritating? You're just gonna let him do that? You're gonna let him win? That fucking-"
"Why do you care, Y/n? Why do you care if I die? Didn't you say people like me can never succeed? What's the point in living if I can't succeed"
He said, as you stood there in disbelief

"So you'll just accept defeat"
"It's not about winning or losing for me, y/n"
He said, sighing

"I think you should go"
Mingi said as you were walking away but stopped and turned around

"I thought you were strong"
You said

"I thought-"
"Shut up"
He said, raising his voice and coming up to you

"What am I supposed to do, huh? No matter what I do, I'm always indebted, who would wanna live like this?"
"Mingi, clearing debt is easy, but do you know the pain of your parents never acknowledging you? Do you know how it feels to see them so involved in their own matters that they forgot they had a child?"
"Y/n, I also didn't have parents I could call parents, but I also didn't have money, at least you have that"
"It's doesn't make my life any easier, Mingi, you know how I live everyday, I run away from my emotions, I can never trust anyone, I'm always keeping myself occupied so I don't have to deal with my feelings, do you know the numbness I feel?"
You said and sighed

"Look, all I'm trying to say it, don't let Wooshin win and let me help you, cause for the first time in my life, I'm not scared to show myself, I know it might sound selfish but-"
"I don't wanna owe you anything"
"And you won't, just let me do this, because I don't like seeing you hurt"
You said and looked down, he cupped your cheeks and made you look at him, pressing his lips on yours, you didn't stop him and closed your eyes, falling into the kiss and tears started falling from both your eyes, somehow you weren't scared whenever he was there; soon you broke the kiss and you looked at each other

"So you'll let me help you?"
You asked and smiled

"I guess"
He said

- A few days later

"Wow, I didn't know you had the guts"
You heard Wooshin say from the other side of the phone

"You'll get your money, just come to the location I sent you at 7 pm"
You said and cut the call and looked at Mingi and nodded

"He's coming"
"So it'll be over?"
"Yes, I'll give him the money and you won't owe him anything"
"But now I will owe you"
"You know what, to repay me, lets go out for drinks after we're done"
You said and smiled at him

"That's worth 20 million?"
He said and you nodded

"Like you said, I'm rich, so even if you gave me back the money, it wouldn't matter much, so you could just do something that would matter to me"
You said and stood up, loading up your gun

"Is it a licensed gun?"
"Yes"
"But why?"
"For protection"
"From what?
He said and you stayed silent, you didn't know exactly what you were so afraid of

"Let's go"
"It's still just 6 pm, we have an hour"
He said and you nodded

"Yeah"
"So what should we do?"
"I wanna know something"
You said and sat next to him, he hummed in response

"Why do you owe him so much money?"
"It's a long story"
"We have time"
You said and he looked at you and sighed

"Since you're already involved, I think I can tell you"
"Please do"
It was a big deal that Mingi was even thinking about telling someone his past, as he is still not over it

"It all started when my mum died due to cancer"
He said, making you look at him with doe eyes, a little shocked

"I was very young, so I don't even have a clear memory of her, but ever since she died, my dad was lost, he didn't know how to deal with it, so he started gambling and got addicted, and soon enough, he became bankrupt and was filled with debt; I was 18 at the time and had no clue that he would end up killing himself, and I would be left all alone"
You didn't realise when the tears started pouring out but they covered both your cheeks soon after and Mingi looked at you, he realised that he was getting emotional too, so quickly cleared his throat and started speaking

"So basically, Wooshin told me that he will help me clear the debts and when the debts were clear, he asked for the money back and I was taken aback, but I told him that I would give it back to him little by little and I managed to give him back 20 million but that was only 50 percent and I wasn't able to pay him back so he called you"
He managed to stop getting emotional and you somehow were still sobbing, you suddenly hugged him as he got surprised but hugged you back and patted your back

"I must've been so hard"
You said and cried on his shoulder

"It's okay, I'm fine, I've always been"
He said and chuckled a little, you soon broke the hug and wiped your tears, chuckling at your behaviour, he smiled at you; soon the time passed and you both got in your car and went to the location

"Well, here is your money"
You said as you approached the man and threw the bag of money at him; he chuckled and put his hands in his pocket

"Pleasure doing business with you"
He said and came up to you to shake hands but you ignored and turned around to walk away with Mingi

You were sitting on the grass, looking at the water when you felt Mingi come and sit next to you, you looked at him as he was sitting down and smiled

"Fallen for me already I see"
He said and you looked away, clearing your throat

"You wish"
You scoffed as he chuckled and nudged your shoulder

"I'm sorry"
He said and you looked at him, silence filling the room, as you both stared into each other, forgetting the time flying by

"I'm sorry too"
You said and looked away, not ready to let your feelings show, he smiled and held your chin to make you face him

"I like you, Min Y/n"
He said, making you froze in your position, you didn't know how to react at all and just stared at him, he started leaning in and closed his eyes, but you pushed him and looked away

"Don't"
That's all that managed to come out of your mouth as stood up and walked towards the water, as Mingi just stared at you, soon getting up as well and coming up to you

"But I thought you did too"
You looked at him after he said that and sighed

"I just said all that in the moment, I'm not worth it, you shouldn't like me"
You said and looked down

"I think I get to decide that"
He said and cupped your cheeks, to make you look at him, slowly leaning in as his eyes pierced through yours, soon closing his as his lips pressed against yours
