You both reached your mother's house and entered, you were just expecting to see your mom but to your surprise

You both said as you saw Seonghwa there with his parents and Mingi saw Joey with her parents
"That's right, you both are dating and they are the ones who informed me"
Your mother said as you looked at Seonghwa but he signalled that it was his parents, not him
"Mingi, how could you do this to me?"
Joey said, creating drama
"Y/n, I thought we made it clear that we wanted you to marry Seonghwa"
Your mother said and you scoffed
"Mom, we're not even dating"
"Then what are these"
She said as she showed you some photos, of you and Mingi kissing at the beach
"Where did you get these?"
"We got them"
Seonghwa's dad said
"You had me spied?"
"We needed to know that our future daughter-in-law is a good wife"
"You had no right to spy on me"
You said and sighed
"Me and Seonghwa are not even dating and you all have our whole future planned out, we're not even interested in each-"
"What's wrong with our Seonghwa?"
"Nothing, I'm sure he's a great person but I don't think being a great person is enough reason to marry him"
"And you'd rather marry Mingi? This boy is in so much debt, he won't be able to take care of you"
"I don't need him to take care of me, I can take care of myself"
You said and sighed again and looked at Mingi who looked like he had gotten used to hearing such harsh remarks

"You pretend to care about me when it affects your image, they all are here as your audience, to prove that you care about me, when you actually don't, you and dad both, you're both so involved in your own lives that you don't even remember that today's my birthday, but you know what, I've stopped celebrating it, in hopes that eventually, I myself will forget it"
"It's your birthday?"
Mingi said, from behind, as you slightly turned your head and nodded; everyone was silent, when Mingi suddenly grabbed your hand and pulled you out
"What are you doing?"
"I didn't know it was your birthday, no one should spend their birthday like this, let's go celebrate"
He said as he was dragging you to your car and stopped in front of it
"Mingi, I really don't feel like it"
"You will, just come with me"
He said and took your car keys and made you sit in the passenger seat, and as soon as he sat on the driver's seat, the door of the backseat opened, revealing Seonghwa, you both looked at him as he sat down and closed the door
"I'm coming with you, happy birthday Y/n, and I'm sorry, I hate my parents"
He said as you both were just staring at him
"What?"
He said and you both looked back ahead and shook your head as Mingi started to drive
"Where are we going?"
"To the amusement park"
He said and you looked at him confused
"To celebrate your birthday"
He said and you sighed, so you were gonna spend your birthday with Seonghwa and Mingi, you thought of calling Derek and Yasmine as well, so you did
"We're here"
Mingi said after driving for the past 30 minutes, with soft rock playing in the background; you looked up and saw the amusement park, Mingi excitedly got out after parking the car and dragged you with him as Seonghwa followed you both, you entered and Mingi got tickets for a roller coaster
