The Beast Planes, an infernal nightmare fueled hellscape, filled with endless hordes of demonic beasts called spawn. The lands destroyed by the clash between the armies of light and chaos were flooded with demon corpses, as unlike the angels which fragmented into light, the demons upon demise fell upon the earth and began to rot. From their carcasses a new form of demonic beasts formed; the spawn. Not only did their strength far surpass their predecessors, especially amongst the upper ranks, but they also had large numbers on their sides as well. Some could fly, crawl or even swim as they came in all shapes and sizes.
This also meant there was a vast power gap between them resulting in the creation of a ranking system for them.

(A/N): Though countries no longer exist, the empires are divided into their respective sections which are the size of old world countries. Many sections form a state which can be compared to the size of a continent.

The level of power displayed by the upper echelons is precisely why there has been no successful attempt to reclaim the lost territory. The best humanity can do is rely on the deal made by the CoD with the respective S-class spawn.
This information ran through the mind Zephyr as he was boggled at the fact that the system believed he could achieve this....in 14 days no less. The fallen angel he fought was no more than a D-class spawn; at best.
