Kael stood over the corpses of thousands of demonic beasts, all of which were ripped to shreds. While Aris on the other hand was watching from afar on a floating icicle.
"This isn't a theatre back home your majesty. We're in the middle of a war!" Kael yelled in annoyance.
"Well, I'm trying to preserve my energy for important battles." He said nonchalantly.
His response only seemed to piss Kael off even more.
"And what is it that I'm doing?"
"Trivial labour."
"You son of a-"
Before Kael could finish, a sudden shift in the air alerted him. A noticeably larger presence emerged, overshadowing the rest of the demons.
On a hill in the distance stood a skeletal figure radiating incredible force. It's skull-like visage was crowned with obsidian black-horns and deep violet eyes that flicker like flames. His titan-like body was cloaked in tattered, crimson robes that ripple like shadows, and in its right hand was a massive obsidian great sword.
Grim's presence was undeniable, instantly garnering the attention of the two kings. Raising his great sword like it was nothing, he challenged them.
'My army wouldn't be able to slow them down in the slightest' Grim thought.
So, he decided opting for a full-frontal assault would be most efficient.
"I see that he's decided to attack us head on." Kael said enthusiastically.
"Please don't rush in by yours-" Aris was cut off.
Kael instantly rocketed towards Grim, leaving a massive crater in his wake.
Sigh
"Why is he always like this? I'm a king, not a babysitter."
Multiple sonic booms erupted as Kael flew through the air, catching Grim off guard.
"Dammit!" Grim roared raising his sword in defence.
Kael's fist slammed right into the great sword, giving a resounding shockwave that collapsed the hill beneath their feet. While sending the general flying back several miles.
Grim regained his composure, his eyes widening as he inspected the dent in his sword.
"Impossible, a mortal shouldn't be capable of such a thing."
Kael, standing confidently, tilted his head.
"So, you're death?"
BADUMP
BADUMP
Somehow Kael was right behind the sovereign end. Startled he swung his blade at him.
However, Kael chuckled, catching the swing between his claws.
"If I kill you will people stop dying? Or is it that you can't die." The king asked in a mocking tone.
This infuriated the personification of death, to be humiliated by a mere mortal.
"Enough of this farce!"
Then a massive amount of Qi suddenly concentrated within his throat as his violet eyes flickered.
"Huh?"
A red beam of pure energy shot forth at Kael. He instantly let go of the blade, leaping backwards and using both arms as a guard. The attack pushed him back, severely scorching his skin and rattling his bones.
