Back at the base, Lu Si Cheng was going mad looking for his missing girlfriend. After his shower, he went over to her room to see if she needed help with the dressing on her poor finger. It hurts his heart every time he sees it. He knocked and waited for a while but got no response. Worried that something had happened, he opened the door to see an empty room. Not even the cats were there. Where did she go? He hurriedly went downstairs only to find only cats were snuggled next to each other on the cat tower next to his fish tank. He took out his phone and texted her. After a couple of minutes he received a reply that made him almost want to collapse onto the floor. Unable to trust his legs to be able to stand for much longer, he quickly walked to the couch and collapsed there. He looked at his phone to read then reread then reread and reread, not trusting his eyes on what his girlfriend had texted him. Finding strength in his fingers, he began texting back.

LSC: [??????]

LSC: [?????????????]

LSC: [Where are you???? Are you ok????]

LSC: [Tell me where you are and I'll come to you. Let's talk about this.]

LSC: [Is it because I didn't do enough? Did I make you cry? Talk to me.]

LSC: [Tong Yao, WHERE ARE YOU???? You are making me worried. At least text me back to let me know you are ok....]

After a while he saw that she wasn't responding to his messages, not even reading them. He was getting really worried now. Frustrated, he tapped her contact and called her. One voicemail. Two voicemails. Three voicemails. Four voicemails. Dammit. She's ignoring him now. He totally deserves it with how he had treated her recently. IT's not that he meant to but he can't bring himself to look at her knowing that he didn't do a good enough job of protecting her. He opened his text messages and looked for the number which had texted him when Jian Yang came to their base drunk. He figured the number was the mid next door's girlfriend, his girl's best friend.

LSC: [ I can't find Tong Yao or reach her. Can you make sure she is ok?]

Then he opens the group chats with all the boys.

LSC: [Did Shorty tell any of you where she went?]

XP: [?????????]

XP: [I haven't seen her since dinner. She seems so out of it.]

LK: [I thought she was in her room....]

LSC: [ not in there]

LM: [ Where could our Xiao JieJie go? Out with Ai Jia's girlfriend?]

LY: [Maybe she got kidnapped????? Someone probably mistaken her as an elementary school kid.]

LK: [Lu Yue, shut your mouth! You only spout nonsense!]

LM: [Yeah! Our Xiao JieJie is too aggressive. She probably would've bitten the kidnapper 2333]

XP: [Captain.........did something happen between the two of you???????]

XP: [Is our team dynamic in peril now??????]

LY: [Pang Ge, don't worry! I'll save the day. The shorty can be sub until my brother gets a new girlfriend.]

LSC: [You really want a beating?]

XP: [!!!!!!!!!]

LK: [!!!!!!!!!]

LK: [Lu Yue......run]

XR: [ah, Tong Yao hasn't texted you yet? She said something urgent came up so she applied for a 3 day leave.]

His girlfriend was really determined to ignore him. With his phone he opened the security camera app and tried to locate the moment she had left. When he found it, he made a clip and saved it to his phone and went to watch it. He can't help but keep replaying it. Perhaps it would be the last he would see her. Even though it was dark and the camera quality was not the best, he could tell she had been crying. Her eyes were so puffy. She looked like a tanuki. He could tell she had tried to bandage her finger herself. It was too ugly to be his work. How he wished she could've been there to hug her and comfort her. How his heart hurts just imagining the tears that she had shed. He watched the clip over and over until his eyes couldn't keep open anymore.

When he woke up, it was Xiao Rui shaking him awake. Thinking Tong Yao was back, he immediately jumped up and looked around only to see it was only the team manager.

"Cheng Ge, what are you doing here? Judging from the bags under your eyes you probably didn't sleep last night," Xiao Rui said worriedly.

I'm fine. Make sure Auntie makes Tong Yao's favorite and pack it for her. I'll get someone to send it. I'm going to shower," he said tiredly. He looked down at his phone to see it dead. He slowly made his way upstairs to his room and plugged his phone in and turned it on. He saw Jin Yang had texted him sometime last night.

JY: [Captain sir, your girlfriend is ok.]

LSC: [ Thanks. I have food prepared. Please help me deliver them to her and make sure she eats.]

With that he took a quick shower to sober up. Then he unplugged his phone from where it was charging and went downstairs and made a cup of coffee. As he watched the coffee brew, he thought about how to deal with this situation. First thing first thought was to track down the person who sent that package and make them PAY. He was the young master of the Lu corporation, money is no object. He will use everything at his disposal. Next he would need to talk to the club about increasing better trained security details as well as protocols at the base.

He took his coffee to his desk and began making phone calls. He was on the phone with various people for a good part of the morning. When his last phone call ended, he looked at the clock and noticed it was close to lunch time. Tong Yao's friend must be coming soon. He got out of his seat and went to the kitchen to see Auntie had laid out the lunch dishes for the boys as well as several thermos with food for Tong Yao. He went to find a bag and placed the thermos in them. Then he went to the fridge and got a couple of yogurt bottles and placed them in the bag as well. He debated whether he wanted to pack the milk as well when there was a knock on the door. It was probably Chen Jin Yang. He grabbed the bag and went to open the door. It was indeed Tong Yao's best friend. He wordlessly held the bag towards her.

"Is there anything you want me to tell her, Captain?" Jin Yang asked as she took the bag. She's not sure what had happened but judging from the look on his face he had suffered too.

"Make sure she's eating properly. She tends to skip meals when she's upset. Also, I packed some yogurt for her to drink if she wants to snack. Please stop by a store and get her a bottle of milk. She usually drinks it in the morning and at night so get an appropriate size. Also, please make sure she's keeping warm. Let me know if she needs anything," he said in a low voice.

Jin Yang could only nod, unsure what to say. This was the most she had ever heard him speak. He nodded back at her then gently closed the door. What is happening between these two?
