Janrick Klenn Cordova, the enigmatic and seemingly unshakeable Ice Prince of A.N. University rules the campus with an iron fist and a heart of ice. Despite his reputation as the heartless and unbothered ruler, Janrick holds a magnetic charm that draws admirers from all corners of the university.

As an engineering student in his final year, Janrick's intellect and charisma have earned him both respect and fear among his peers. Boys and girls alike are captivated by his presence, unable to resist the allure of his commanding presence. And that includes me. I don't know, but seeing him makes my heart beat race rapidly.

I, a second year student of tourism, fell in love with a guy like him. Well, who wouldn't. Janrick is a gifted man. When Lord God makes rains of talents and features, he was there having a good bath under the rain. In other words, he got everything that Lord God can give. Ohhh, except for one. Seems like when Lod God made rain of goodness, he was in deep sleep, making him heartless as he is right now. And the happenings right now is a solid proof of how heartless he is.

From my vantage point across the room, I watched as the scene unfolded before me like a tragic play on an unforgiving stage. A circle of friends, their faces alight with anticipation and mischief, gathered around one of their own, their whispered encouragements and playful nudges betraying their shared agenda.

In the centre of their circle stood a timid figure, her nervousness palpable even from a distance. I could almost feel the weight of her internal struggle as she mustered the courage to approach Janrick. Her friends' eager expressions fueled her determination, and their unwavering support a beacon in the darkness of uncertainty.

I can't hear their conversation, but their action says it all. The way they steal glances towards Janrick, who's sitting at his table together with his of circle of friends while having their great time. It makes them obvious.

With bated breath, I observed as she finally took the plunge, confessing her feelings to Janrick with trembling sincerity. And just like what everyone in the classroom expected (which I bet she also do), the girl received a harsh comment and rejection from the latter. The rejection was swift and merciless, cutting through the fragile bubble of hope of the lady.

The whole room became silent as we watched a live episode of Janrick's rejection towards his admirers. Everyone was clearly waiting for what would happen next. Or should I say what would the lady's next step would be. Even though the result is already as clear as mineral water, everyone was still waiting.

And just like what always happened, the girl got teary-eyed, unable to bear the rejection and humiliation she received today. I'm sure I'll take her some time to recover from the trauma she got today.

As the girl turned to flee, her cheeks flushed with humiliation, I couldn't help but feel a pang of sympathy for her. The weight of rejection hung heavy in the air, casting a shadow over the once jubilant atmosphere of camaraderie.

Janrick, as usual, remained unbothered. He did not laugh at her like what I've seen on the television.he just remains emotionless. He did not even throw a glance towards the poor girl.

The girl and her friends made a quick exit, leaving everyone who felt sympathy towards her. Well, some have that annoying smirks on their lips while watching those girls leave the room. Maybe thinking something like 'deserve'. Well, they also got rejected like that girl just now, and maybe seeing someone got rejected by the same person who rejected them gives them satisfaction.

I just sighed. I couldn't help but feel a knot of nerves twist in my stomach. Watching the whole drama unfold had my heart racing faster than a sprinter at a track meet.

See, there's this thing about me. I've got this major crush on Janrick, but nobody, and I mean nobody, knows about it (except for this one annoying person). Not even Janrick himself. And it's not because I'm afraid to spill the beans; it's more about dodging the embarrassment that comes with it. Just like what happened just now.
