Excitement coursed through me as Patch extended yet another invitation to watch Pavee's dance practice. Without hesitation, I eagerly accepted, knowing full well that it would also give me a chance to catch a glimpse of Janrick. As we made our way towards the gymnasium, I could feel the anticipation building within me, a mix of nerves and excitement swirling in my stomach.

As we entered the gym, the rhythmic sounds of music and the sight of dancers in motion greeted us. Pavee and Janrick were at the centre of it all, their movements fluid and graceful as they practised their routines. Patch wasted no time in getting into his usual cheerleader mode, his enthusiasm infectious as he rooted for Pavee with every fibre of his being.

The practice continued, and I couldn't help but steal glances in Janrick's direction, my heart skipping a beat each time his eyes wondered and accidentally looked at our direction all because of Patch loud cheering- or should I say loud scream.

As I watched Patch's unabashed display of affection towards Pavee, a pang of envy washed over me. How I wished I could be as open about my feelings towards Janrick without feeling paralyzed by fear and self-doubt. But the truth was, Janrick and Pavee were worlds apart.

Pavee, with his easygoing nature and friendly demeanour, seemed to draw people effortlessly towards him. He was well-liked and respected, his circle of friends extending far beyond the confines of our school walls. Janrick, on the other hand, was more reserved, often shutting himself off from those around him. Aside from Patch and a select few of his dance mates, he kept his distance from others, his walls seemingly impenetrable.

And yet, despite their differences, both Janrick and Pavee shared one thing in common-an abundance of admirers. Pavee's charismatic personality attracted admirers from all corners, while Janrick's enigmatic aura seemed to draw people in despite his brusque demeanour.

But while Pavee handled his admirers with grace and kindness, Janrick's responses were often curt and dismissive. It was a stark contrast that left me feeling conflicted, torn between longing for Janrick's attention and fearing his rejection. I don't know why, though.

Humans are truly complicated. Pavee is already a good guy, a perfect guy to be with, actually, but people seem to be drawn by Janrick, who's cold and love to shut people off. One of those people who got drawn into him was me. I don't know why, though. I just really like him.

I was in the middle of my deep thoughts when all of the sudden Patch's cheers came to an abrupt halt, his demeanour shifting as he realized he had been caught in the act. It makes me look at him. With a sheepish grin, he turned to me, his expression a mix of embarrassment and amusement.

"Well, that's my cue to tone it down a notch," he chuckled, giving me a playful nudge, and then sat down beside me. I couldn't help but laugh along with him, grateful for his unwavering support and the opportunity to be in Janrick's presence once again.

"Stay here, I'm going to grab some drinks and snacks." Patch said and suddenly stood up, his eyes alight with excitement.

His words made me glance at him. Confuse for a moment, "I'll come with you," I started to say, when i was able to catch his words up, but Patch interrupted me with a wave of his hand.

"Nah, you stay here and enjoy the show. I'll be back in a minute. And besides, I know you'll enjoy staying here." he reassured me, flashing a smirk and a winked at me, as he started walking away. He even waves his hands without looking at me.

I let out a sigh when I couldn't see him anymore. That guy. Tsk! I turned my attention back to the dance practice since I can't do anything anymore. Patch, were kinda stubborn, too. And besides, he was right. As I turned my gaze into the stage, I found myself drawn in once again by the mesmerizing movements of the dancers- especially that guy in the middle with a name Janrick.
