Ymir's Path(Completed)

Chapter 9

Days leading up to the Crusade....

On the days leading up to the crusade, Fritz slowly and secretly enacted his plan of getting Flukey killed but thanks to Ymir and Dorus Flukey was aware of Fritz's scheme and planned on dealing with him as soon as possible but Ymir assured him that she'd take care of things. 

In the meantime, Dorus started a little rebellion amongst Fritz's forces that would love nothing more than to see Fritz dead and wanted to follow Flukey's example of what a true knight is supposed to be. 

Of course they weren't the only ones as Garb proceeded to round up his own band of knights that stood by Fritz's side and wanted Flukey out of the picture though in reality Garb had his own agenda. 

Not only did he want Ymir all to himself and Flukey dead but he also wanted Fritz dead too so he can take his throne and his kingdom. 

Safe to say there was some serious in-fighting in Fritz's army but no one dared to oust the other and wanted to stage a surprise attack.

It was only a matter of who would strike first.

And the attack would commenced soon.

On the Fateful Day....

On the fateful day, Fritz and his trekked onto another kingdom and were met with opposing forces that were anticipating their arrival.

Flukey: Hm. Looks like they were expecting us.

Garb: Doesn't matter. Under the command of King Fritz we're unstoppable!

Fritz, riding on the back on his horse, raised his hand up and pointed at the ones who stood before him.

Fritz: Do it!

Ymir took one look at her "king" and then at Flukey before she started to walk forward.

When she reached the center, she bit down on her hand, drawing blood, and transformed into her Titan form.

Fritz's enemies looked in horror. 

They had heard about Ymir's ability and some didn't believe it but seeing it up close, the rumors barely did any justice to the real thing.

Then Ymir turned around and grabbed Flukey before lifting him up.

Everyone expected Ymir to kill Flukey, especially Fritz and Garb, but instead she placed him on her shoulder as he smiled.

This shocked everyone.

Fritz: Ymir! What the hell are you doing?! I order you to kill Flukey at once!

Ymir then turned her attention to Fritz and just stared, infuriating him even more.

Fritz: Grrr! You god damn worthless piece of trash! I am your king and I command you to--!

Before Fritz could finish, Ymir grabbed him and lifted him up.

Ymir, still thinking he had some control of the situation, commanded Ymir to release him but she didn't.

Flukey simply smirked.

Flukey: Hate to break it to you Fritz but she doesn't take orders from you.

Fritz: *Looks at Flukey* You! What did you do to my slave?!

Flukey: I didn't do anything really. All I did was show her a little compassion and how a real man's supposed to treat a woman and the rest played out smoothly. In case you're wondering no I'm not using Ymir. I actually do love her and she and I both know I can give her more than you ever will. And to top it all off, you thought you were holding all the cards and in reality I was. You planned to have me killed here today....but instead you're going to die here and everyone is going to watch it. But don't worry Fritz, I'll take good care of Ymir and your people. Now....Finish Him!

Obeying Flukey's chant, Ymir opened her mouth and proceeded to eat Fritz as she screamed in fearful horror.

King Fritz.....was dead.

But he wouldn't be the only one.

Flukey: Ymir. *Points at Garb* Kill him too for good measure.

Seeing his end coming close, Garb tried to make a run for it but Ymir crushed him before he got far.

After both of his main obstacles were taken care of, Flukey called off the conquest and ordered Fritz's men to return to the kingdom and no one complained cause they didn't want to face Ymir's wrath.

As the army headed back to their own land, many knights praised Flukey for killing Fritz and Garb but his mission wasn't over yet.

Since the people were without a king, they'll need another one and who better than Flukey's own king so he decided that as soon as he returns to Eldia, he'll make the announcement.

It took some time but eventually the troops made it back to Eldia and Flukey ordered the men to gather up all of the citizens.

Once that was done, Flukey cleared his throat and made his announcement with Ymir by his side, who was smiling for the first time in public.

Flukey: People of Eldia! King Fritz is dead! But that does not mean this is the end of Eldia! For I have a way of opening a new path for Eldia! A more prosperous one! For I come from a land far away from Eldia! I was sent here to assassinate King Fritz and end his reign of terror! Now that I have completed my mission, I offer you all a chance at my better life! Unlike Fritz my king is more fair and benevolent and would be more than willing to take you all in! But of course the choice is yours! So what do you choose?! To be left alone, or under a better society!

There was silence for a few seconds before the people cheered, happy that Fritz was dead and accepting Flukey's offer for a chance at a better life.

As the people cheered, Flukey smiled and felt Ymir rest her head on his shoulder, continuing to smile at bright future awaiting her and the people of Eldia.
