Storm of Friendship

Y/n, Daisuke, and the DemiVeemon siblings were in the computer lab, waiting for Cody and Upamon..what they didn't expect is for Tai and Matt to show up, less than pleased. The Motomiya siblings weren't sure what to do, and it seemed like the two didn't know what to do first, so Tai just decided to rip off the bandaid.

Tai: Listen, Kari and TK told us something, and we just need you to confirm something, alright?

The Motomiya siblings nod, prepared for the worst as the DemiVeemon siblings glare up the original children of courage and friendship. Matt notices and sighs, deciding to be the one to rip off the bandaid.

Matt: alright, listen, TK and Kari told us that you joined the emperor and want to enslave the digital world. Is this true?

The Motomiya and DemiVeemon siblings look at Matt like he's stupid and Tai notices this.

Tai: so, it's not true then?

Y/n, shaking her head: No. Want us to tell you what happened?

Matt, nodding: yes. We want to clear this up.

Y/n: Well, a stray attack from a controlled Deltamon went towards the Emperor. Even if he was the emperor, I couldn't let him die since he's a kid like us, so I pushed him out of the way of the attack. TK, Kari, and Yolei then got mad, saying that the attack should have hit him and killed him so the digimon would be free, but I argued that just because he's the emperor, doesn't mean he should die.

Tai:...well, who agreed with you?

Y/n: Davis, Demi, Yuki, Cody, and Armadillomon did. The others sided with their partners.

Tai and Matt nod, trying to digest all of the information and which story is true. Tai and Matt sigh, before Matt speaks up.

Matt: We'll confirm this with Cody when he gets here....but we now have two different stories told by two groups, so which one is right?

Tai: I dunno, but maybe we should ask Izzy. He's the smart one.

Matt, nodding: yeah, that's true.

Cody, appearing: What are you asking Izzy?

Tai and Matt jump in shock, looking at the small boy holding Upamon.

Tai: Cody! When did you get here?

Cody: Just now. What were you talking about?

Davis: They were asking about what happened when the team split up into us and the others!

Cody nods and looks up at the older digi-destined.

Cody: What do you want to know?

Tai: Well, we know TK's and Kari's side of the story, and now we know Y/n's and Davis's side, so we're gonna need yours now.

Cody nods, walking over to his leader and friend, standing next to Davis.

Cody: Well, we were fighting controlled Deltamon and Bakemon, when an attack went towards the emperor. Before any of us knew what had happened, Y/n had pushed him and themself out of the way. Then Y/n, TK, Kari, and Yolei started to argue and the emperor revealed himself as Ken Ichijouji! Ken fled with Wormmon and then we all split up. Me and Davis were unsure at first, because we didn't expect it to happen, but sided with Y/n once we heard their reasonings. I don't know why TK, Kari, and Yolei wanted the emperor to die. Isn't he human to?

Tai and Matt nod, the pieces now piecing together in their minds. The digiport then beeps, signalling it's open. Y/n shrugs and looks at Tai and Matt.
