Nick doesn't usually sit in the middle seat while the car is in motion, but this time, he did, and he would live to regret it. Matt is a great driver, but it was very heavily raining, so there was little to no way to avoid this, and it was dark outside, on top of all of that.

They were on their way to our grandma's house, and to get there, they had to drive through a narrow road basically in the middle of the woods. It started raining while they were already driving, but they should've checked the weather. They just didn't wanna be late to see their grandma.

They were about 5 miles away from their grandma's house. Suddenly, it felt like they were floating for about 5 seconds, and then it was fine again. "What was that?" Chris asked. "Nothing, it's fine. I just gotta go slower." Matt said, white-knuckling the steering wheel. "Slower? We are already going 20 under the speed limit." Chris said, a little annoyed. "Yeah well, until you can drive I want you to shut the fuck up." Matt said, not taking his eyes off the road.

The car fell silent. Nick heard a quiet, "Oh fuck." from Matt and looked up. They started feeling like they were floating again and they were swerving all over the road. Nick and Chris were silent with only Matt quietly whispering "Shit shit shit shit." While jerking the steering wheel to try to get a hold of the situation.

They swerved off the road and started going down a very steep hill. Matt turned the wheel and it caused the car to hit a rock and flip. They landed up right but the car was still moving at a very quick pace directly towards a tree. Before Matt could try to avoid hitting it or do anything, they had hit the tree. None of them are sure how much time passed but when Chris came to and looked around he was in utter shock.

Chris' head was pounding like no other but there was a huge tree branch sticking through the car and he looked over it and Matt was knocked out, he couldn't even see Nick because of the branch. "Matt. Wake up." Chris said loudly while reaching under the branch to shake Matt. "Ow, God. What happened?" Matt said quiet but frightened. "The car crashed. Are you okay?" Chris asked. "Yeah, my shoulder ust hurts. Matt said and started trying to get out of the car. But stopped when he realized he hadn't heard Nick.

"Nick? Are you okay?" Matt asked, scared. When he got no answer he looked behind him. All he could see was a tree branch and Nick's legs. Matt and Chris started trying to get out of the car while simultaneously searching for their phones. They got out of their seat belts and heard a groan from the backseat. "Nick?" Chris said. "Y-Yeah? I think-" Nick started but was interrupted by a fit of coughing that felt like his lungs were on fire. "Oh god, are you hurt badly? What hurts?" Matt asked but got no response.

Matt and Chris got out of the car and looked through the windows of the backseat. They couldn't get the doors to open so they went back to the front and got in their seats. They looked at eachother with pure fear. They decided that they would lay there seats all the way back to get to the backseat. Doing this caused Matt to grunt in pain and grasp his shoulder.

They could now, unfortunately, see what was going on with Nick. It looked like he was impaled with a giant tree branch but they knew that if that were the case then he would be dead so they settled on it by just pressing against him. "I found a phone,”  Chris said and picked it up. He turned on the flashlight and shined it on Nick.

Nick half smiled and breathed in a wheezy, painful breath. "You're gonna be okay Nick, we're gonna get you some help." Chris said. He tried to call 911 but it just said "NO SERVICE" across the screen. He swore under his breath. "Are....You Okay?" Nick asked, pausing to catch a breath in between words. "Yeah, we're good, man. I think I have to go up to the road to get service though." Chris said, panicking a little.

Nick waved Chris closer with his hand and brought it up to his face and started wiping blood off of Chris' face. Matt started tearing up at the thought of losing his brother. Nick moved his hand to Chris' cheek and gave him a smile. Chris got out of the car and started running up to the road. "He'll be right back Nick, you're gonna be just fine. I'm so sorry this happened man." Matt said, voice thick with emotion.
