In the midst of the lively classroom atmosphere, Xaviera couldn't resist wearing a wide smirk as she unabashedly imitated the popular dance moves she had seen online. With exaggerated movements and enthusiastic singing, she thrust her hips into the air, drawing laughter from her classmates. Their eyes twinkled with humor and amusement whenever Xaviera had her goofy moments.
"Lakas mong bumayo, Lodi!"
"Pag kami natamaan!!"
Napahalakhak siya nang malakas sa mga naririnig niyang komento ng kaklase niya. "Woohh!!" She raised her higher hips in the air, making her classmates laugh harder.
Completely absorbed in her dance and the joy of entertaining her classmates, Xaviera remained oblivious to the creak of the classroom door swinging open. Despite the arrival of an unexpected visitor, her classmates, amused by her performance, kept the visitor's presence a secret. Xaviera remained clueless, her movements becoming even more exaggerated as she observed the growing laughter around her.
"Ba't 'di ka pa pumapasok? Good morning!"
Naputol lang ang pagsasayaw niya nang may marinig siyang magsalita sa likod niya. Nanlaki ang mga mata niya nang makitang pumasok si Alexis at CK sa silid-aralan. Hindi niya inasahan na bibisita sila kaya nagulantang siya. Sa saglit na pagkatigil niya sa harapan, ramdam niyang nakatutok sa kaniya ang mga mata ng kaklase niya, hinihintay ang reaksyon niya. Nang magsalubong ang paningin nilang dalawa ni CK, mabilis siyang tumakbo pabalik sa upuan niya.
"Wi arae ka pa, ah?" Tinawanan siya ng kaklase niya sa tabi niya. Napahawak na lang si Xaviera sa magkabilang pisngi sa kahihiyan.
"Bilisan mo. Masakit ang tyan ko." Alexis whispered and tapped CK's shoulder. As he leaned against the wall, his brows furrowed as he noticed an unusual expression on CK's face.
CK made his way to the center, a restrained grin tugging at the corners of his lips. Clutching a small piece of paper in his hand, his cheeks flushed from the effort of holding back the laughter bubbling inside him. While maintaining eye contact with the students, he silently gathered his composure, taking deep breaths to steady himself. He unfolded the paper in his hand, expecting that he would eventually move on once he started speaking. But as he delivered the first lines, he found himself struggling to ease the humor stirring inside him.
"Magandang araw sa inyong lahat. Ako si CK, at siya, haha..." his gaze briefly shifted to Alexis on the side, meeting his scowl, which contrasted with the amused expressions of the other students. "Siya naman si Alexis, mula sa Pangkat Narra. Sana ay mabuti kayong lahat. K-Kamakailan lang, meron kaming kaklase na..."
With each passing second, his urge to burst into laughter grew stronger, evident in his quivering voice. But he refused to give up and kept trying to calm himself. With another deep breath, he cleared his throat before starting over again.
"Sorry. Uulitin ko. Magandang araw sa inyong lahat. Sana ay mabuti kayong lahat. Ka... Kamakailan lang..."
Unfortunately, despite his best efforts to regain his composure, it seemed impossible. When he locked eyes with Xaviera, he eventually burst into uncontrollable laughter, doubling over and struggling to catch his breath. The laughter became so intense that he choked on his own saliva, triggering a fit of coughing. Alexis quickly dashed forward to come to his aid. Xaviera's cheeks burned crimson as she averted her gaze out of embarassment. She felt as if she was the one he was laughing hard at.
