Jalal was getting ready for the day. He looked at the rose given by Anu and smiled. Just then a guard came.

"Greetings Shahenshah, Jodha begum has asked permission to enter." he said.

"Permission granted. Bring her here with respect." Jalal said. The guard bowed and went.

Jodha entered with the thali. She smiled at Jalal.

"Pranaam Shahenshah." Jodha greeted with a smile.

"Greetings Jodha begum. You here?" Jalal asked.

"I came to give prasad. Here you go." she said.

Jalal took the prasad and ate it.

"Happy birthday Shahenshah. May gods give you a long life." she said.

"Where is my gift?" he asked.

"Shahenshah, you are like a kid. I will give you the gift later." she said.

"I want it now." he said.

"Shahenshah, why are you so stubborn?" she said.

"That I am." he said.

Both laughed. Jodha saw the rose. Jalal looked at Jodha's direction.

"Beautiful rose." she said.

"Anu Begum gave it. She is the first one who gave birthday wishes to me." he said smiling.

Jodha smile faltered a little hearing it.

"She is really sweet person." Jodha said smiling.

"She really is. Childish at times but a really good friend." he said thinking about the times he spent with Anu.

Suddenly Ruqaiya begum came.

"Greetings Shahenshah, Greetings Jodha begum." she said.

"Pranaam. Greetings Ruqaiya begum/Ruqaiya." Both replied.

"Hope I didn't intrude in your moment." she asked.

"No Ruqaiya begum. I just came to give birthday wish and prasad to Shahenshah. I'll take my leave." Jodha said and went away.

"Happy Birthday Jalal." Ruqaiya said happily.

"Thank you, Ruqaiya." he replied.

"I have brought you a gift." she said and clapped her hands.

"Fabulous painting Ruqaiya begum." he said looking.

"This painting shows our special relation. If you permit I would like to put the painting above the bed." she said.

"Of course you can." he said.

Ruqaiya asked the maids to put up the painting.

"I will get ready." saying she left.
