Encounter in the Woodlands

I beheld the woodlands, where a cunning fox pursued a nimble rabbit. The earth beneath me quivered as I launched myself forth with a single purpose, causing the fox to tremble and succumb to the crushing power of my talons and weight.

I paused, breathless and exultant, only to abruptly halt and sharply turn my head at the sight of a large, white creature looming before me. The possibility of facing a bear, a fox, or even a more formidable adversary akin to Indy from "Jurassic World" gripped my senses.

"Ah, there you are," the beast rumbled, a smile curling its lips to reveal jagged, ivory teeth.

I hissed, "Who in the world are you?"

The beast smiled. "The name is Indy. A pleasure to make your acquaintance, sister," she said, bowing her head and curling her claws into the soft earth.

I blinked. "I have no sister, never did. I was born an only child," I replied.

Infy sniffed. "You have never been there. Don't you remember me on the paw that you were experimented on when you were injected with syringes and other things?"

I blinked. "No..." I murmured, then suddenly memories flooded back - people in white coats, children playing in the sun, the sound of laughter echoing all around.

I recoiled and shook my head as I realized Emine and Indy were staring at me with their golden-red eyes shimmering in the sun filtering through the pine needles.

"Do you see what you are trying to forget, sister? We can never forget who we are or what we were meant to become. You are merely fortunate to dwell among humans, but remember this - even those humans will turn against you when times grow too harsh," she snarled, flicking her tail. It hit a fir tree, causing it to snap in half and topple over, taking two more trees down with it in a domino effect.

I flinched and stepped back. "I-I..." I stuttered, but Indy shook her head. "You cannot change your past, but you can shape your future. Slay the humans who betrayed you in their blood if you must!"

I sighed and looked down at my weapons - the large, black swords.

I drew my claws towards me and lashed out with my tail. "I long to slay the family that raised me," I hissed. Indy snorted, "So you would turn your back on your blood sister, the one who was there for you when no one else was?" she said calmly. I clenched my jaw, "You are no sister of mine."

"And you were never there for me when I needed you. You are nothing but a myth, a mere figure in a film," Indy retorted, laughing. The tension escalated, but soon subsided, and I backed away as she shook her head, her golden eyes turning blood-red.

She smiled, "Fair enough," and lunged towards me with jaws open and claws outstretched.

And pain became all I felt.
