Anirudh's POV

"Bonditaaaaa, eeeyyyiiii Bonditaaaa" I called counting the seconds on my watch and got up slightly irritated, turned my back to write the topic on the blackboard in the study, 2 days before her final 8th grade exam.

"Haan Bor babuuu" Bondita halted at the doorstep as Batuk smirked watching her arrive late for the revisionary class.

"Why are you late Mishti?" I turned back facing the two, pointing the bob of grandfather's pendulam strike the second time in the past hour.

"Saarrryyy Sir babu" Bondita hung her head, embarrassed as Batuk covered his mouth and turning his head on me to her.

"Firstly, I told you 50 times before, that it is 'Sorry' and not 'Sarrrryy' " I kept on glaring at her crossing my arms "Next, this is the second time it is happening this week Bondita"

"I....I was searching for my book in the shelf" Bondita stuttered slowly in the same position "But couldn't find it. Ar hobe na emni, Shottiii" (This'll not be repeated again)

"Which book were you searching for?" I asked frowning at her suspiciously.

"My life science book, what else!" Bondita raised up her head looking at me with widened eyes in surprise "That's the only subject I am left with a day after"

"So what if it is the only exam you are left with? I bellowed throwing up my arms "Does that mean you can come late to your class everyday?"

"But Dada" Batuk spoke up "It's not everyday, it's only the second time Boudi is late"

"Only!!" I remarked angrily "Batuk, how dare you justify the second time as 'Only'!! Your Boudi arrived 30 mins. late to class on Monday too. I think you both have taken me for granted as I easily forgave her then. The reason she repeated the same mistake again!! And you Bondita, look at me....your book was lying upside down in your desk drawer here, so better stop lying"

Bondita who had been silently listening to us, quickly pulled up her head cover and raised her head, frightened as I commanded her.

"Now, tell me where were you?" I firmly reiterated in a rigid tone crossing my arms again.

Bondita (pinching her throat) - Shottii Bor babu, I was searching for the book since half an hour in my room. I forgot I had kept it here.

"A big lie again" I gritted my teeth exhaling heavily as Bondita turned down her eyes again.

"Aren't we getting late now for the exercise Dada?" Batuk spoke from behind "Why are you dragging the matter? Spare her for the last time and let's resume our session"

"Batuk, you better keep your mouth shut and stop defending Bondita" I glared at him turning to my left side, standing in front of Bondita.

Batuk hung his head silently.

"Do not compel me to punish both of you together" I continued scowling at Batuk.
"Now you Bondita, when I told you in the dining space yesterday night that you must revise the chapters thoroughly as I've prepared a questionnaire for you both to solve in today's session, then you replied your book is here and you'll take it to your room and learn it then. This means you already knew your book was here. Then why on earth are you lying now!!"

"I....I was...." Bondita's throat went dry as her throat got constricted with fear and guilt on being caught.

"I asked where were you Bondita, look up?" I glowered, walking towards her slowly.
