"Good morning, Klaus." Iris came to visit at 10 am in my house like always without fail.
"Good morning to you as well, Iris." I greet.
I wonder what kind of conversation we'll be having for today?
Iris looks around my house. What is she looking for? "Arah? Where's Minori? For once, she's still not here." She seemed disappointed.
"Aah..." so that's what she was talking about. "I didn't hear from her but she might just be busy with farmwork is all." I hand Iris a cup of coffee.
"Hmm~ Just when I thought I'd get some work done~" She shows me her Corona notebook where she writes her ideas for her stories.
"What for? Are you using Minori as an inspiration for your novel/s?" Iris has always been a successful novelist since she always bases everything in real life and likes looking at it in many different angles.
"You could say that. You could also say I that use two people." She winked at me.
But her mind could always be a tad bit too mischievous for her own age.
I try to be ignorant and unaffected by her remark. "With Raeger? Or Fritz? I hear that Minori is getting along with them. That's nice considering her phobia, isn't it?" Although I'm still not sure if it's actually a phobia.
"If it's nice then what's with the sullen face you're making?" Iris eyes me. I could see the twinkle in her eye.
"What face are you pertaining to? I believe that I've always had this kind of face." I turn away, wondering if I'm really making a sullen face right now.
"Dishonest, aren't you? You know, I heard from Minori that she likes someone, that's why she moved all the way here. Isn't it adorable how she's devoted to her crush?" Iris lets out a slight giggle and jots down on her notebook.
I recall the first time I met Minori.
'I've something I've been meaning to say to you... I love you, please go out with me!'
"Is that so...?" I wonder what kind of face I'm making right now.
"Klaus, you're really-"
I wonder if she was just disillusioned? I don't remember having to have met her anywhere before.
If I did, I would've at least remembered a small detail about her.
"Mr. Klaus, Mr. Klaus, Mr. Klaus!" Minori had finally arrived. I'm quite relieved to have her here.
"Aah... Well, I have to go. I've gathered up quite a lot of information for today. Thank you, Klaus." After finishing her tea, Iris stood up and left, leaving only Minori and I.
"Umm... I'm sorry." Minori bowed gently. "Was I interrupting something?"
"No, no. I'm glad you're here actually. Would you like a cup of tea?" I take the teacup that Iris had used and place it in the sink.
Minori sat down on my couch and smiled at me. "I'm fine. Thank you, Mr. Klaus."
"What brings you here for today, Minori?" I sit down with Minori and she looks up, thinking of what to say.
"Hmm... You ask that everyday but I keep telling you, it's to see you." She giggled and I can see her cheeks turn a slight pink in color.
Is Minori aware of what she's saying? She seems to know but doesn't understand the danger of saying it out loud.
"Well... Hmm?" Minori stopped. She stood up and leaned towards me. "You smell really good, Mr. Klaus."
"Is that so?" I try to calm myself down. Minori doesn't understand so I shouldn't make such a big deal about this.
