"It's about The Hero of Justice." Minori whispers but it was loud enough for me to hear.
"It's a story about a 9 year old girl and an 18 year old delinquent."
"A delinquent?"
"Ahahahaha... Yep." Minori laughed awkwardly as she scratched the back of her head. "You see, she was quite the problem child back then. She showed a goody-two-shoes facade towards people and played around with them all the time."
"Ahem." She coughs, as if releasing her feeling of embarrassment. "Anyway, while she was bashing about a girl all by herself, a man suddenly crashed through the window of her classroom. Of course, she was surprised but most of all, she was irritated."
"She was in the middle of letting out her feelings towards an empty classroom but because someone 'entered', her stress accumulated."
I am not quite understanding what she's talking about but I still continue to listen. Hopefully, I might understand it.
"And, you know, she was a person who kept up appearances so even in front of people she did and didn't know, she still had to put on a hood to hide her true face."
A hood? I think she means 'mask'.
"So she went towards the man with a make believe worried expression and asked if he was okay." She looks and shows a melancholic smile. "Apparently, going over to that man was probably the biggest mistake she ever made. The man the girl helped was actually a wolf."
A wolf...? Why does it sound sort of familiar to what I told her before? Was it just a coincidence?
"That girl was really surprised when the wolf slapped her hand away from him. He stood up, full of bruises, and glared directly at her. After, he immediately walked away. But before he left, he muttered: 'Disgusting.'"
"That word pierced through that girl quite deeply. It was as if-No, he had totally seen right through her. With just those sharp eyes, he had been able to change her." Minori looks out the window and stands up.
"The thing was, that little girl fell in love with that man and always tried to look for him. Although the man was uncomfortable with her around, he never told her to go away. They, instead, spent time together and little by little, they learned of each other's nature... About the girl and why the wolf became a delinquent." She clenched the drapes of the windows and breathes deeply.
Is she... crying...?
"When that girl went to visit her grandmother, she took her friend, the wolf, with her there and her grandmother was furious and scolded that girl. She then told her to stop getting with those kinds of people; delinquents. Although the girl refused to do it, the man laughed and released a relieved sigh and said: 'Finally, this twerp can leave me alone. A tiny brat like her is so annoying. She's plastic. You oughta raise her better.' And those were his final words towards her."
"But then an accident occured. She was about to lay bare her feelings when the wolf left and the girl chased after him. A car suddenly came rushing in. It was a purposeful 'accident' caused by the guys who hated that wolf. In a manner of a few seconds, there was a loud screech and two bodies laid on the ground. One was the little girl and the other was the wolf tightly wrapping himself around that girl."
A tragedy...?
"Hkk!!" I grumble but Minori didn't hear it.
My head is aching... Have I been out for too long?
"Those two were immediately brought to the hospital. The girl only had minor bruises but the wolf was on the brink of life and death. In his hospital room beside his bed sat the girl, endlessly praying for a miracle to happen. She said that as long as he's alive then whatever happens, it's fine." She giggled.
